While it's true I think Season 4 had the weakest writing of the first 6 seasons of Three's Company, I have to admit it's better than Season 7.
I'm beginning to see why viewership in the show declined after Season 7. It's because Season 7 is just mostly kind of boring to me. The laugh-out-loud moments are fewer and far between. I've seen 14 out of the 22 season 7 episodes and none of them are what I would call classic. Jack's Bistro storylines are kind of boring to me so far. In the later years they really should have found a way to use more Felipe storylines and work him into the show more as he could have made things funnier. No one probably will ever say this but I really miss Cindy Snow in Season 7. Say what you will, but you could always rely on her to beat Jack up in some way to get a laugh. In that sense she was funnier than Terri. They should have kept the cast as it was in Season 6 and not have let Jenilee go. But yes, while the writers dropped the ball in several cases during Season 4 overall it's still a funnier season than what's been going on so far in Season 7. |

I agree with you about Season 7. I have to admit I don't watch the later seasons all that much anymore. I generally stick to 1-3, sometimes 4 and 5. If I watch Season 7, it's usually the Jack's Bistro early episodes. The only stand-out ep in Season 8 is "Grandma Jack," and boy, is that a stand-out! It's like the diamond in the rough. |
