Default lol mike brady/robert reed moments

its well known that Robert reed never cared for the brady buch as a show and both Sherwood and Lloyd Schwartz have expressed ther opinon that he did not do comedy well and seemed to have no sense of humor whatsoever but I can think of at least one mike/Robert moment that made me laugh out loud it was a scene in sorry right number where mike needs to use the phone in the den but carol is already on the phone talking to her friend Martha and so mike tells carol that he will just use the pay phone in the living room what I thought was funny was when mike /Robert almost danced out of the den singing Martha Martha you just did not really see him do crazy things like that to often are ther any mike/Robert moments that made you laugh out loud ?

When Carol and Cindy both had their tonsils out at the same time. Before Mike left for work he said to them : " Don't answer the phone under any circumstances, let Alice get it". So Alice goes to the market and the phone rings and it's Mike and he get's mad, than he calls again with his voice disguised as a lady saying it is Ellie. Carol is like "You don't sound like Ellie". than he says in his own voice" That is because it is your husband Mike"!!!

That always cracked me up when Mike was trying to sound like Ellie!!!!!!

Cool

My favorite Mike Brady scene was when he and Greg did the dramatic reading/guitar act for Family Frolics night and Bobby and Peter were dumping water and feathers on him! His reactions were very well done!

How about his "Hamlet Soliloquy" speech in "You Can't Win Em All." The one where Cindy and Bobby take the TV show test and at the same time, the Brady's plan a big dinner party with a menu that keeps changing due to guests not able to come. When they finally have a date worked out, Cindy's TV show appearance falls on the same date, just as Mike and Carol come home after going shopping for MORE FOOD!!!

Carol "We have got enough food to feed all our friends, their house guests, plus any last minute drop ins."

Mike: "Even their drop ins can bring their drop ins"

Carol, "Alice, were their any calls while we were out?"

Alice: "Just one, the school called to give you the date of Cindy's television show."

Carol: "Oh, great when is it?"

Alice: "I'll give you a hint, we're going to be eating this stuff a long, long time!!!" hahahaha!

Mike: "No!!!! "No!!!! No!!!!"

Alice: "Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!!

Carol: "Sure, Naturally....the 10th! The night of of our party!!!"

Mike: "You know, I don't believe it! First we're gonna invite a couple friends over, barbeque steaks. Than we switch to a Mexican dinner so we can invite more people. So I cancel the steaks. I run all over town in search of authentic Mexican food! But than we switch to a Smorgasbord, so we can have friends, and friends of friends and Uncles, and relatives, and assorted drop ins! And now, I have got enough Mexican food, to feed every guitar player in Guadalajara! And I've cornered the market on Herring! And NOW, I FOUND OUT WE ARE HAVING A PARTY FOR TWENTY SIX PEOPLE ON THE TENTH AND THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO AREN'T GONNA BE HERE, ARE US!!!!" lololololol!!!!

Than Mike's boss Mr. Phillips called to invite them to his boat! And of course Carol thinks it is Mike again seeing if she is answering the phone because Mr. Phillips goes " Ahoy , Mrs. Brady" ! And Carol Goes " I don't want to ride on that broken down barnacle barge of yours" . And almost as soon as she hangs up, Mike shows up at home!!!

That was an OMG moment!!! That was one of the funniest things ever on the Brady Bunch I thought. So it was a Carol LOL moment and a Mike one too. Mike impersonating Ellie, and Carol's blunder. And when Carol explains to Mike what she did (writing it down). The look on Mike's face was priceless. He was like Oh sh*t!!!!

That ep was hilarious!!!

If somebody says they are getting a boat, or talks about their boat or best yet if I actually ride on their boat I get the strong urge to call it a "broken down barnacle barge". But I don't have the heart to do that! But it crosses my mind!
