Default Shoes off in house

Has anyone ever wondered why so few television characters are ever shown with their shoes off at home? I don't know anyone who routinely wears shoes indoors, literally not one person.

I wear my shoes indoors. In America, don't most people do?

I wear shoes in the house unless it's at night and I'll wear slippers or flipflops.

It is weird that they do that, I mean it makes sense to have shoes on if your planning on going out because in reality most everybody just strolls in their house dressed like a slob.

I never wear shoes in the house. Heck I wish I didn't have to wear shoes out of the house!! LOL!!! I wear flip flops and sandals as much as I can until it gets to cold or if I have to wear shoes to dress up! As soon as I get in the house off come the shoes, and I wear little slipper socks or footies if it's cold in the house!

I don't wear shoes indoors because I live in an apartment building with thin floors and walls. If I lived in my own house, I would though.

I wear socks or slippers inside and I wouldn't be caught dead barefoot or in sandals/flip-flops.

I always have my shoes off at home.

This practice is especially valued in Japan, by the way.

Awesome!!!! Yeah who wants their feet confined in shoes if you don't have to. Barefoot is so comfy and natural. And I pay good money for my pedicures and have pretty color nail polish on. Why cover it up?

Most of the time at home, I don't wear shoes in the house...it's more comfortable that way.

The Flintstones never wore shoes inside or out. Even in the winter they were in their winter coats and no shoes!

I know right, what's up with that? And why do we need a car engine when we can pedal with our feet.
