USA Renews "Satisfaction", Cancels "Rush"
USA Network Pulls Plug on "Rush", Continues Tryst with "Satisfaction"
by Michael Slezak October 2, 2014 "Rush" is making a somewhat unexpected trip to the morgue after just one season. USA Network announced today that it is not picking up the Tom Ellis medical drama for Season 2. The news was better, however, for fellow freshman drama "Satisfaction", which scored a renewal despite drawing very similar numbers to "Rush". "Satisfaction" premiered in July to 1.7 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating, while "Rush" debuted to 1.7 mil and a 0.4. With their recent finales, "Satisfaction" wound up with 1.3 mil/0.4, while "Rush" drew 1.6 mil/0.3. Explaining the pick-up, USA Network President Chris McCumber said in a statement, “Satisfaction sparked a cultural conversation about modern love and marriage in today’s world.” Also helping the Matt Passmore starrer was better Live+7 DVR playback lifts (+74 percent in the demo, per Deadline) than "Rush" delivered. http://tvline.com/2014/10/02/rush-ca...d-usa-network/ |

Both of the shows were okay, sort of racy but that's what you get with cable. I am surprised they renewed one and not the other when they were so close in the ratings. Rush was more action packed which made it interesting to watch, but the drug angle may have turned viewers off.

I am a new viewer to the show named Satisfaction. I saw its first episode earlier today through my copy of the show's first season DVD so I may be a little early at saying what I am about to say but right now, I can only see the show going so far with it being about what it is about. I don't know if the wife ever finds out about Neil being aware of what she is up to and how he responds to it, but how long can a person in his position continue down the road that he has decided to walk down when that may only become boring after awhile?
Because The Glades ended up being axed, I hope that the show does well for my new most favorite actor Matt Passmore! How can a lady NOT love him!!! ![]() God bless you and him always!!! ![]() Holly P.S. And may a resuming of The Glades some day soon be possible, to me, that show is awesome and I want to know who shot Matt's character on it!!! My guess is that its the guy who shot him before Florida became his character's new home. Why wouldn't the guy want to finish what he started since he obviously did not get it right the first time? |
