This morning on Lifetime. I don't think anything was edited. Looked the same to me. Thought they originally played the 911 call, but the detective on there said, "We can't release the 911 transcript" So I must be mistaken.

Yes, the tape wasn't played in the Stack version either. He said "we're not releasing the tape." Honestly, I find this to be one of the most chilling things on UM. Just the mere description of the tape sounds horrifying.

I find it strange this case can't be discussed on here, but respect that request if the LE department really feels that it could compromise things. I do wonder, however, if other forums such as Websleuths have been told the same thing. Maybe it's for the best. If you do a forum search to old threads for the case on here, it's a completely unpleasant batch of arguments.

Yes. My understanding was that there was a poster on this forum who was involved in the case and he kept posting things about it, and the police apparently asked that it stop.

Since the police were involved in the production of the original segment, I don't think there was an issue in that regard.

Nope just little old me. According to the wiki it was aired in 2000, which probably means I missed it and would explain why I don't remember it.

Sadly, this is all too likely. That poster seems to sense whenever he's being spoken of.

This case is on the Bizarre Murders set that unfortunately is only being sold for a high price now.

I didn't know that! I guess I just assumed that the thread in question got so out of control that the mods had to stop the discussions entirely.
