Default Teresa Ganzel was the right choice to play Greedy Gretchen

I'm kind of surprised "Three's Company" got a guest star of that caliber because she was used very often to play the sexy floozy in the 80s.

I had to google "Teresa Ganzel three's company" to remember who she was. "Greedy Gretchen" rang a bell but I couldn't pinpoint her face amoung Jack's many dates.

I was too young back then to really care about celebrity news but I would hardly rank Teresa as a prominent star, was she constantly in the spotlight? Would she be considered the Kim Kardadhian of the 80's?

I never even knew what her real name was until just now, so I would say NO.

Well she wasn't a big star but she was in some high-profile things. No of course she wasn't Kim Kardashian of the 80s. She was Jackie Gleason's trophy wife in "The Toy" I believe, and she played the chick in Johnny Carson's "Tea Time Movie" sketches. She was also frequently on the "$25,000 Pyramid" game show as a celebrity guest in the 80s. If you watch Game Show Network with any kind of frequency I'm sure you'd see her on there at some point.

For a "Three's Company" guest star she was higher profile than most of the others. The fact that you may not know who she is says a lot about the low popularity of the people that guested on the show and how cheap the producers really were to bring in anybody truly notable.

She was also in the Mama's Family episode "An Affair to Forget".

I remember her more from $25,000 Pyramid. She appeared on there a lot.

How times have changed, you don't see practically any celebrities or even D-list celebs on game shows anymore.
