The Cleveland Idiots are out of the playoffs...this concludes the 50 years our city has lost...It's not like Buffalo where they had 4 attempts and no Vince Lombardi Trophy...we're more like a Greek/Shakesperian Tragedy every ****ing season!

When someone tells me "there's always next year"...I wanna say this...



We can't even win in Arena Football! I like to say we have "The Curse of Wahoo". There's The (Insert what happened) every single time...even Detroitians can say "At least we're NOT Cleveland"! 50 years of losing and futility...though the Lions had the 2008 season, they still have the Tigers and Red Wings. Chicago has the Cubs, but they also have the Blackhawks...admit it Clevelanders...we're ****ed when it comes to sports.

Our stadiums I like to call Factories of sadness (Okay it came from Mike Polk)...even if the Browns go to the Super Bowl and the Cavs win the title combined...we reached the 50 year watermark! San Diego is the 2nd worst, but when they go to the finals...people will say "huh"? We were in Super Bowl 29, the 1984 World Series, and 1998 World Series? Seattle hasn't won it all 35 years but when the Seahawks won it all earlier this year the 2001 Mariners Season was overlooked! Then there's Kansas City who has a shot with the Royals...but add all the losing seasons each team here has and you get...145!

I always predict that Cleveland will NEVER win another Championship every year and every year I'm right...and I wish I can be wrong with that! Cleveland Sucks and there's NEVER Next Year! Roll-out the Cleveland Jokes again!

There are a few Clevelanders on this site...and I'll be launching a webpage this October. I'm taking classes to launch a webpage...and not only it will have these sports curses, but a thread that has "The Riots", "The Fire", "The Fire 2.0", "The Default", and "The Adopt-a-can"!

I'm from northwest ohio, but I'm not a fan of any of the Cleveland teams. I do have a lot of good memories of going to watch the Tribe in old Municipal Stadium. Their 1995 Indians team should have won it all. That was one of the most scary line ups I've ever seen.

I stopped following sports in general because Cleveland Sports have done one too many bad moves. I think the Indians should've had it all in 1997, but I feel that we're just cursed!

If all three of our teams leave or I do...I'll be celebrating! That's why we're the mistake-on-the-lake! And if all three teams win in 2015...I'll be happy, but pigs flying is more accurate!

I'm also making a screenplay about a Clevelander called "Home and Business", a guy who lived in Cleveland's 'burbs, gets a business after WWII, has his children work for him, his son tries to keep the legacy, but it falls apart...almost sounds like "Casino" or "Goodfellas" without the Mafia ties....

Their first game is against the Knicks on TNT on October 30th. I hate the Cavs uniforms. Those uniforms are ugly LOL. I wish they would go back to the old uniforms they had when Lebron started there.

Well, they say that misery loves company. How's this for company? I give you my favorite sports city in North America, Toronto, home of the following teams:

Toronto Maple Leafs - 0 Stanley Cups since 1967, 0 appearances in the Finals since 1967

Toronto Blue Jays - 1992 and 1993 World Series Champions, 0 playoff games since

Toronto Raptors - Founded 1994 - The only Toronto team I do not cheer for. In their 20 years, they have appeared in the playoffs twice. In both cases, they lost in the first round in Game 7, missing the second round by one shot.

Between 2004 and 2012, 8 straight years, all 3 of these teams failed to appear in even one post-season game.

If this doesn't exactly sound Cleveland-like, it's still too close for my liking and I'm getting sick of it.


Toronto is just across Lake Ontario from Buffalo, and there's a city that comes by their loser reputation honestly. They did make it to the Super Bowl 4 times and lost, yet I believe that it's the way that they lost (being blown out by Dallas one year and losing on Scott Norwood's "wide right" field goal attempt another year) that gives them more infamy than if they had never made it. Plus there's also the way they totally mishandled Doug Flutie that makes me think that they don't ever deserve to win anything ever again.

I also hate Buffalo's other team, the NHL Sabres, even more than the should-have-been-Toronto Bills (but that's another story). Their best chance at a title came in 1999, when they lost to the Dallas Stars on Brett Hull's controversial in-the-crease goal which was ruled as a good goal even though the rule book clearly pointed out that the play was illegal, something that is still a sore point with their sorehead fans to this day. Today, the Sabres are a good bet to finish the upcoming season in first place in the NHL----at the draft table! I would say it's well-deserved. It couldn't happen to a more miserable city. To me anyway, Cleveland actually looks good by comparison.

I live in Maryland and Washington DC teams aren't much better. Washington Nationals won their division this year and Baltimore Orioles won their division. I don't watch baseball but it'll be interesting to see what they do in the playoffs. Washington Redskins have sucked for awhile. They finally made the playoffs last season but lost in the wild card game to Seattle and Robert Griffin got hurt. Washington Wizards finally made the playoffs last season and they hadn't been to the playoffs since Gilbert Arenas, Antwan Jamison, Caron Butler were here. Washington Redskins are probably the only team in this area that have won championships because they did win some when Joe Gibbs was the coach. Washington Wizards won a championship in the 70's when they were called the Bullets and they had Wes Unseld. I think they won one in 1978. Wes Unseld was the Bullets coach for awhile in the 80's when they had Bernard King and Jeff Malone.

Baltimore Ravens won 2 championships and the last one they won was in 2013 which was the last year Ray Lewis played.

There's a good chance that you might see a Baltimore/Washington World Series which would personally eliminate any bad luck or evil forces that had been plaguing that area's sports teams in the last few years. However, the Redskins still stink, and, as a Dallas Cowboys fan, that pleases me deeply.

Winning isn't everything.

The St.Louis Rams had the most explosive and exciting offense that ever walked on to a football field 14 years ago, everyone talked about them, every offensive player wanted to play for the Rams. They won one Superbowl and damn near won another then became a laughing stock and now are threatening to move to Los Angeles.

I just read somewhere that the St.Louis Cardinals fans are the most hated sports fans in the country. This does not surprise me, people hate a constant winner and seeing that sea of red in the stands every October would have to be pretty tiring to outsiders. This is a baseball town and the folks here do go overboard, statues out front, naming bridges after ball players, naming streets after ball players and then changing the name when they find out the player used steroids. Now this year, not only do the Cardinals have another shot at the World Series but also the Royals. I bet most of the National media would much rather be covering events in Ferguson.

The Blues have never won a Stanley Cup but made it to the finals the first 2 years of their existence, mainly because of their two Hall of Fame goalies. They almost moved to Canada but we managed to hang on to them.

We have had pro basketball in this town but the teams never made any money so whatever basketball fans there are have to settle for the college teams.

Cleveland is due to win something one of these days.

Sal, I don't think the Washington Nationals are going to the world series because they're losing 2-0 to San Francisco and I think San Francisco is gonna win the series. Washington had a chance to win last night when they were up 1-0 in the 9th inning but the Nationals dumb ass manager took his pitcher who was having a good game outta the game and put in a closer and he lost the game. It's possible Baltimore could go to the world series. Tiredmike59, I don't remember St Louis having a NBA basketball team. You're right that winning isn't everything but unfortunately winning is the only thing most people care about and if you aren't winning often, people will call you losers.
