Why did the cast members "shout"when saying their lines?Especially Desi jr &Lucy jr

You are on the wrong board. You are talking about the Here's Lucy show not The Lucy show.

That is OK! They did yell, esp in the first season. It was Lucie and Desi Jr. first acting roles! They really improved as the show went on through the seasons!!!

But I think a lot of it was to make it more dramatic ( I mean funny drama)

The way Lucie (Kim) said Mother was like MA- THEEEER!
She really dragged it out , I thought it was funny!!!!

Lucy believed in projecting. She did it in all of her series, and she expected all the actors around her to do the same.

I think it also had to do with the fact they were doing the shows in front of live audiences. Filmed live sitcoms are essentially like a filmed play.

And in the theater, you're taught as actors to "play to the back rows."

That might be why they shouted their lines so loudly. They weren't the only show to do that.
