Question Have You Ever Gotten into Confrontations, Fights w/ Strangers in Public?

I always try my best to avoid conflict in my life, but I'm the type that would step in if I see or hear something that I find fishy or don't like what's going on.

About a week ago I was on the NYC subway and the train car was fairly empty. Across from me was a Hispanic lady and her 2 small kids. Later on this black teenager came on the train w/ a big box of candy he was selling. He went up to the lady and she was like "No, no" but her children were wanting it.

He then stepped over to the children and placed the candy in their hands and the lady looked very nervous and still going "No!" I could tell she didn't speak much English, so I got up and said from my seat "The lady said no." He said to me "Alright, chill brother. It's cool."

I walked up, grabbed the candy from the kids and put it back in the box and said again "The lady said no." He's still like "Alright, alright, I'm leaving..." When I went back to my seat the lady is saying to me "Gracias, gracias" and I nodded back.

He eventually went to the other side of the car and I see him eyeballing me. He got off a couple of stops later and that was it.

Another thing happened at the local supermarket a couple of years ago. There was this customer talking w/ random people on the line saying ridiculous things like "There is no such thing as autism. Back in my day we didn't have such things."

I told him he's an ignorant moron and we got into an argument. Then more and more customers heard what was going on and pretty much told off this dude.

My father tends to put himself into other people's business. About 10 years ago we were riding the city bus and these two men in front of us were talking about how corrupt some construction project was that was going on. Something to do w/ the flooding zones or something like that.

Well my father, being an NYC civil engineer at the time (now retired), decided to jump right in shouting off building codes and laws at them telling them how stupid they were.

When they asked "what makes you an authority?" he pulled out his business card shouting off his college degrees and business position. At that point they had that look as if they "lost a fight" and had to agree w/ him.

I felt embarrassed at the time telling him later on that he shouldn't have bothered and he said something along the lines of "I can't stand ignorant ******."

So I was just curious to see if others here had gotten into anything like this w/ people in public? Do you tend to step in?

People in New York City Have been Murdered over paltry, small and insignificant things such as spilled drinks, dog poop, stepped on sneakers, loud noise from parties and the list goes on and on and on. You do NOT want to get into an arguement about Anything with a stranger in New York City.

I agree with Cleverfun3000 hahahahahahahahahahahaha. That will happen in any city though. I've gotten into a fight with a black guy when i was a teenager who was a bully and he was the one who started the fight. I didn't want any problems with him because i knew he could beat me. I was lucky he didn't kill me because he was choking for me awhile and i couldn't get his arm from around my neck but he ended up letting go. I was almost close to calling the police on him but i didn't. He apologized to me the next day at school which i thought was weird because he doesn't seem like that type of guy. I also got into another fight with a black man when i was a kid and he started the fight because i wasn't bothering him. To this day i hate a lot of black men because a lot of them are troublemakers and start fights with people for no reason because they feel like it. That's why i don't have a lot of black men friends because their ignorance pisses me off. Then you got these dumb ass black women who date bad black men and then they complain that there's no good black men when they refuse to date good black men. Black women love drama and that's why they deal with bad black men LOL.

as a lot of you know, I'm in a wheelchair. The other day some IGNORANT ******* parked his car directly in front of the curb cut in front of our building for TWO ******* hours!!!
When I was finally able to get out after he moved, I passed him in the parking lot and yelled at him. He apologized then said "Are you OK now?" I just said in an angry voice "NO!" and left. (hopefully he got the message)

My mother said I was wrong and I should apologize but I feel I was right.

Oh No

A couple of times...and a few that I wanted to! Most of the time when I'm with my mom, some ******* will yell at her or criticize her. I want to tell him/her "Do I talk to your mother that way? Then shut the **** up *******/*****"!

But there was this one time where it was a hot summer day and I already was pissed because I had no weed-whacking spool at my job which is a church. Then as I was opening the doors in the hall for the exterminator, a family walks right in and asks me where this food pantry is...I wasn't in the mood so I tried to help her find this place then she tells me "...why must you have an attitude"? I just told her "God Bless You" but she said "He'll bless me and not you...you shouldn't be working here"! I almost wanted to whack her, I flipped her off, called her a *****, and I almost wanted to throw something at her but I'd wind-up in jail! I'll never see her or her significant other or her bastard child again!

Another time was last year when some whore introduced themselves...they asked me for some cigarettes and money. I told them I have nothing, but they kept harassing me and I gave one of them a buck, then they asked for two. Usually when I say no, these people know that I won't give them anything...yet these whores said "We're beautiful like that building over there, but we have nothing and we're not ******". Even after giving them money they STILL didn't stop! I gave them help suggestions for food pantries, gave them the number for United Way (211) but they didn't want to wait...then they asked for $50! I got mad and told them to take my damn wallet, I threaten to call the cops on them...I was even sooooo close to saying "If you *****es aren't ******...then **** me"! I walked away and I hope they went to jail for panhandling and harassment!

I feel that I had a target of people who would give me grief, mostly they are low-income women in their 40's who aren't married and have children. I can get mean, but I'm actually a nice guy.

I have autism and back then...how old is this guy? It wasn't effective until now. I hate being called a dumbass, idiot, stupid moron, etc. because of my disability! If that guy called me those things...I'd say "MOTHER****IN' MUTT! You Piece of ****"! I'd want to whack him!

Okay, I feel like I might as well go to Chuck e Cheeses to whack moles...I'm not a jerk, but when I encounter a jerk because they'll say they're right and are better than me...we're gonna have some problems.

We grew up fighting around here, especially when we had our " Gang " with us. Seems like every time we encountered another group our same age we would end up in a fight. I got into a few fights by myself usually at school or when I ventured into another neighborhood but that was back in the 70s. Today I am more reluctant to tangle with anyone because even the nerdiest looking dude could be packing a gun.
