TV Shows you disliked through the years

If there was a show or two that you disliked through the years, then this is the place to mention about it. I'll start at 1991 for myself since that was the time I got cable and restrictions on what shows we could watch was at our house....

1991-"Roseanne"...this show was more crude than funny
1992-"Ren and Stimpy"...I still wonder why Nickelodeon green-lighted this show
1993-"Barney and Friends"...even the kids who watched this show disliked it later!
1994-"Sports Center"...why need the sports section?
1995-"Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers"...the franchise was TOO bloated by then with spin-offs and clones
1996-"Sesame Street"...at this time, I called it "Elmo's World featuring the cast of Sesame Street". I liked the first 25 years of this show though.
1997-"TGIF"...okay, not a show per se, but the franchise was dying and becoming mote teen-oriented than family-oriented!
1998-"Jerry Springer"...I had sooooo many dislikes on TV that year, but Springer takes the cake!
1999-"Teletubbies"...did an alien make this show?
2000-"Survivor"...the height of a new low on TV causing the Reality Show bubble as well as the cash cow!
2001-"Pokemon"...I still think the name is kinky (Pocket Monster)?
2002-"The Simpsons"...I feel bad for Matt Groening now...it's NOT his show anymore, but it's FOX's cash cow!
2003-"Spongebob Squarepants"...Same as "The Simpsons"...except it's on Nickelodeon
2004-"Friends"...the show became monotonous with Ross and Rachel
2005-"American Idol"...More like "American Idiot"! Fox's 2nd cash cow!
2006-"That 70's Show"...Eric was gone by then and was replaced by an unpopular guy
2007-"Mind of Mencia"...Comedy Central's replacement for "Chappelle's Show" and it isn't funny!
2008-Tyler Perry Shows...name me one and they suck!
2009-Conan and Jay Leno's show...this would cause a demise for NBC which wouldn't recover for five years!
2010-"Glee"...It's just an adult version of "High School Musical"!
2011-"Two and a Half Men"...and DON'T get me started with Charlie Sheen's winning!
2012-"How I met your Mother"...to me, the show is bland and unfunny
2013-"Bob's Burgers"...this show is more ugly than entertaining!
2014-"Here comes Honey Boo Boo"...looks like Bunny Foo Foo as a goon! I can't even look at her family...they're just cash cows!

I agree that Roseanne turned into a crude show. The first 3 seasons were good. Very funny and there was a special love/bond between Dan and Roseanne. But after that the show started changing. Roseanne got very crude and mean. I think that reflected the crap that was going on in her life which she transferred to the show. I have the first 4 seasons of the show on dvd but I won't buy the whole series.

I also hated Happy Days after season 3. Too loud and stupid.

Oddly enough...that was probably the time when "Roseanne" was banned from our house...I won't even watch it if it's on! I'll watch "Married with Children" though that show is probably worse....

I agree with the last couple seasons of Roseanne. The show got ridicules! Same with Happy Days!

Other shows I never got into were Hogan's heroes ( a shame cause I love Richard Dawson) . Designing women, How I met your mother, Two and a half men.

I don't care for the Simpsons either. I LOVE SpongeBob Square pants though. I think that cartoon is really funny!

I dislike too many shows to name. The two that come to mind are beloved by most; I Love Lucy and Mash. I simply don't care for them. I can watch ILL in very small doses, but not Mash. Seems many Mash fans get mad at people who don't like the show which I find very strange. I couldn't care less if anyone hates my favorite shows.

I don't like Mash either! I never saw how people got so into it. I'm not into the war, and to make a comedy of it. That's the main reason I don't like Hogan's heroes either. Making a comedy about a Nazi concentration camp is horrible in my opinion. But back to Mash, I never thought it was that funny, and seeing the war part and the injuries was horrible! Not to mention how that show just dragged on for years and years! And it is always on in reruns !! Way overplayed!

One show about WW2 that I did like though was Mc Hales navy. that was silly and lighthearted, didn't really get into the war much!

I do like I love Lucy though!!

I always thought that MASH was overrated. I did try getting into it during its original run, but I was just never impressed. And I agree with you that it went on WAY too long!

I love Hogan's Heroes, and have the whole series on DVD. While it is set during WWII, it takes place in a POW camp, not a concentration camp.

There were some interesting casting choices in Hogan's Heroes...John Banner (Sgt Schultz) was Jewish... Robert Clary (who played "LeBeau") was himself in a concentration camp as a child. And Werner Klemperer (Col. Klink) was a German who apparently hated the Nazis. He stated that if the Germans were ever made to "win" an encounter with the Allies even once during the show, he would quit. (By "encounter" I don't mean an actual battle, I just mean the espionage and matching wits that took place between the Allied POWs and the Germans). HH was (to me) a great show partly because the Americans/Allies ALWAYS won... no exceptions. And the cast was great together.

My brother and sister loved "McHale's Navy" when we were growing up, I didn't get into it that much as a kid, and it hasn't aired in years... But it also had a great cast.

I like "I Love Lucy" as well...there are a handful of episodes that I can't watch today, but I can watch most episodes and enjoy them. Never did get this on DVD though, and I'm not sorry about that. If we did have the DVDs I doubt I would watch them. I've seen all of the episodes so many times over the years.
