Short Summery:

This story takes place about 4 weeks after Blair,Natalie,and Jo’s Families move in.Dorothy and her Family are still in California.

Blair has been feeling sick with what she thinks is the flu till Jo takes her to the Doctor,
Blair is shocked to learn that what she has is more then just the flu, Its Life changing.

When Rick takes Callie and RoseMarie for a week Jo must deal with her feelings of depression.

Natalie is on a deadline to get her new book done on time and is having a bad case of writer’s block and is in a bad mood from lack of sleep.

Lisa and Marcie get into trouble when they decide to dye their hair.

Chapter 1
“You girls be kind to your father this week.”said Jo to her daughters at the kitchen table.”I know I know,You’ve only told us 1,000 times.”said Callie sarcastically.”Don’t worry mommy I love daddy,I’ll be nice.”said RoseMarie.Jo leans over and kisses RoseMarie on her head.”GoodGirl.”said Jo.

“Morning!”said Edna as she walks into the kitchen.”Morning Mrs.G.”said Callie and RoseMarie.”Good Morning Edna.”said Jo.Edna walks over to the table and sits down.”Are you two ready to spend the week with Rick?”asked Edna.”Yes,I cant wait!When Daddy called the other day he said that We could go to the park,Swimming,Skating at the Roller Arcade,To see movies,Go to the zoo,And……”said RoseMarie getting cut off by Callie.”….And we’ll live happily ever after.”said Callie sarcastically as she stands up and takes her dishes to the sink.”Callie!Be Nice!”Yelled RoseMarie in defense for her father.
“Why?”questioned Callie.”Cuz he’s our Daddy!”Yelled RoseMarie.Callie walks over to the table.”He is not ‘our Daddy’ ‘our Daddy’ would not treat use the way he did,’Our Daddy’ would treat us with love and kindness,As far as im concerned that man is not ‘Our Daddy’ and he never will be!”Yelled Callie in one breath then storms out of the room.

Jo stands up.”I’ll go after her.”said Jo.Edna stands up and puts her hand in Jo’s way.”No I’ll go you finish your coffee.”said Edna.”Thanks.”said Jo then sits down.

Callie throws her bags off her bed then sits down on her bed.”Callie,Can I come in?”asked Edna from the hallway.”Sure.”said Callie quietly.Edna opens the door then walks in closing the door behind her.

Edna walks over to Callie then sits down next to her.”Care to talk?”asked Edna.”There’s nothing to talk about.”said Callie keeping her head down.”What about what just happened?”questioned Edna. “Nothing happened.”said Callie looking down at her bed.Edna stands up and walks toward the door.”Well if you need to talk Im here.”said Edna as she starts to leave the room.Callie lifts her head.”Im scared.”said Callie quietly.
Edna turns around and looks at Callie.”About what?”asked Edna compassionately.”About visting my father.”said Callie.

Edna walks over to Callie and sits next to her.”How long have you felt like this?”asked Edna.”Since the first day he hurt Mom,My fear grew stronger when he hurt me,Then when he hurt RoseMarie I felt like Dying.She was only 6 and couldn’t fight back like I could and…..and I couldn’t even help her.”said Callie now in tears.Edna moves closer to Callie and puts an arm around her.”Sh…Sh…It’s alright.”said Edna.”No No its not,Im scared to go with him today,To be with him for a week…..Alone without anyone to help me im afraid of what he might do next.”cried Callie.”Did you tell your mom how you feel?”asked Edna.
“No and don’t you tell her,Please.”cried Callie.”But she can help you.”said Edna.”She might tell me I don’t have to go,I have to go so someone can protect RoseMarie,I don’t want her to live in fear like Mom and I.”said Callie with tears rolling down her face.Edna hands Callie some tissues.”You are a great sister.”said Edna while she pulls some hair out of Callie’s face.

“Callie! You have 15 minutes till its time to go you better get ready!”Yelled Jo from another room.”You better get ready.”said Edna.”Ok….But Please don’t tell my mom.”said Callie.“I wont.”said Edna as she stands up and walks toward the door.”Mrs.G…..Thanks.”
said Callie.”Anytime.”said Edna as she leaves the room.

Edna walks into the livingroom and over to the sofa and sits down next to Jo.”Is she ok?”asked Jo.”Shes fine.”said Edna.”That’s good to hear.”said Jo.

RoseMarie walks into the livingroom carrying two bags,a pillow,and her teddy bear.”Already Mommy!”said RoseMarie excited.Jo looks at her daughter and smiles.”Do have everything?”asked Jo.RoseMarie sets her things on the floor then thinks for a minute.”Um….No I forgot my play make-up kit and my favorite blanket the one with the pink and purple hearts.”said RoseMarie.”I think you can live with out those things.”said Jo.”Please Mommy….Can I take them….Please….”said RoseMarie looking as cute and innocent as a 7 year old could.”How can you say no to that face.”said Edna.”Oh allright go get them and hurry up.”said Jo.”Yea!”Yelled RoseMarie in excitement then runs out of the room.

Callie walks into the livingroom and sets her bags and pillow on the floor then walks over to the sofa and sits down in a near by chair.”Do you have everything?”asked Jo.
”Yeah.”said Callie.”Where’s Bruce? I haven’t seen him this morning.”questioned Jo.
“He’s at work, its Monday.”said Edna.”Oh.”said Jo.

Ten minutes later the doobell rings,Jo quickly stands up and walks toward the door,Jo opens the door.”Oh its only Marcie,Lisa,and Tabby.”said Jo.”Nice to see you too.”said Marcie sarcastically.”Come on in girls.”said Jo.

Marcie,Lisa,and Tabitha walk in.”Where’s RoseMarie?”asked Tabitha.”In her room.”said Jo.
“Ok thanks.”said Tabitha then walks toward RoseMarie’s room.”Callie’s in her room.”said Jo.”Thanks Jo.”said Lisa and Marcie then run toward Callie’s room.

Lisa and Marcie knock on Callie’s door then walk into her room.”Cal.”said Lisa.”Oh hey I didn’t think you’d be here today.”said Callie.”You’er going away for one week,We have to atleast come and wish you good luck.”said Marcie.”Thanks but I’ll need more then just luck.”said Callie.”Why?”questioned Lisa.”Nothing.”said Callie.”Callie we made a pack to tell eachother everything no matter what.”said Marcie.”Marcie’s right,You can tell us.”said Lisa.”Im scared.”said Callie.

“Callie! RoseMarie! Your Father is here!”called Jo from the livingroom.”Coming!”Yelled Callie.”Cal.”said Marcie.”I gotta go I’ll see you two in a week.”said Callie as she leaves the room.Marcie and Lisa follow not too far behind.

Callie walks into the livingroom and sees her father then looks over at RoseMarie who is giving Jo a hug.Callie takes a deep breath and picks up her bags then walks over to her father.”Ready Girls?”asked Rick to his Daughters.”Yep.”said RoseMarie.”I guess.”said Callie.”Callie I made you and RoseMarie some cookies for the flight.”said Edna.”Mmmm I love your cookies,What Kind?”asked RoseMarie.”Chocolate chip for RoseMarie and Oatmeal Raisn for Callie.”said Edna as she hands the girls their bag cookies.”Thanks Mrs.G.”said Callie.”Thank-You Mrs.G”said RoseMarie.”Well we better get going our plane leaves in 45 minutes.”said Rick.”Ok Daddy im ready,Bye Mommy,Mrs.G,and Tabby.”said RoseMarie.
“Bye everyone.”said Callie.”Bye girls.”said Jo as Callie,RoseMarie,and Rick leave.

“I have a few cookies left in kitchen if you girls want any.”said Edna.”I do!”said Tabitha excited.”Anyone else?”asked Edna.”Could I get mine to go? Blair wants me to pick up some things at the store.”said Marcie.”Your calling her Blair,What are you two fighting about?”asked Lisa.”Nothing,I just don’t like calling her mom.”said Marcie.”Sure thats one to go and two for here.”said Edna.”Yes,Anything to get away from my house would be fine.”said Lisa.”You too.”said Marcie.”Why whats going on?”asked Jo.”Mom,She has a deadline and writers block,Pluse she hasn’t slept in over a week.”said Lisa.”Yeah Mommy’s been crabby lately.”said Tabitha.Jo and Edna smile.”Whats going on your place Marcie?”asked Jo.”Blair,She’s been acting strange.”said Marcie.”Normal strange or odd strange?”asked Jo.”Odd,its like she’s been out drinking and has a very bad hangover that’s lasted about two weeks,but she hasn’t had a drink in almost three weeks,Well not that I know of anyway,She has headaches, Stomachaches,she’s lightheaded I guess shes dizzy cuz she lost her balance this morning and almost fell,Oh yeah and she been throwing up for about a week.”said Marcie.”God I hope she’s in bed resting.”said Jo.”She’s not,She’s interviewing people to help her run the store.”said Marcie.”I hope she feels better.”said Edna.”Me too.”said Jo.”Come on girls I’ll get you your cookies.”said Edna.

Chapter 2
Blair looks at her clip board then back up.”Jim dean.”said Blair.”That’s my name.”said Jim.”It says here that you were fired from your last job,Could you tell me why?”asked Blair.”I really don’t like talking about it but….. I slept with my boss.”said Jim.
Blair’s eyes slowly widen.”Next!”yelled Blair as she quickly stands up.Jim stands up and walks towards the door.”Does this mean I don’t have the job?”asked Jim.”That’s right, Next!”Yelled Blair as Jim leaves.

Morgan walks over to Blair.”Feeling any better?”asked Morgan.”No,I feel the same.”said Blair.”Oh.”said Morgan.”Anyone else out there?”asked Blair.”Nope that’s it.”said Morgan.
“Great I have a choice between an Ex Convict,A hooker,A man who sleeps with his boss,and An Ex Nun.”said Blair.”I’d pick the Ex Nun.”said Morgan.Blair hands Morgan the clipboard.
”Me too, Could you call her and tell her she’s got the job and she can start Next Monday,Her name and number are on the top page,I am going to my bedroom and I am going to take a shower,Put on some pajamas and sleep for a week,Or untill I feel better.”
said Blair.”Allright.”said Morgan just as Blair leaves the room.

Marcie walks into the apartment buliding and then she walks into Blair’s Office.
”Morgan.”said Marcie.”Just a sec Sister Mary.”said Morgan then puts her hand on the mouth piece of the phone.”Sister Mary? Who are you talking to a Nun?”Questioned Marcie.”Ex Nun.”said Morgan.Marcie give Morgan a strange look.”Whatever, Where’s Blair?”asked Marcie. “Sleeping.”said Morgan.”Kay thanks.”said Marcie as she leaves.

Marcie walks down the hallway then takes out her key and opens the door into their area which is four apartment buildings put together to form a house for the owner.Marcie places the key in her pocket then walks in and closes the door behind her.

Marcie walks into the kitchen and sets her things on the kitchen table. She then walks over to the sink and turns the water on,Then she walks over the cabinet and takes out a glass then walks over to the sink and fills it with water then turns the water off.

Marcie walks over to the table and opens the shopping bag and takes out some flu medicine then walks toward Blair’s room just as she hears a knock at the door.”Who is it?”asked Marcie.”Jo.”said Jo.”And Edna.”said Edna.”Coming.”said Marcie as she sets the glass of water and the bottle of medicine on a near by coffee table.

Marcie walks over to the door then opens it.”Is Blair here?”asked Edna.”Yeah she’s in her room,end of the hall last door on your right.”said Marcie.”Thanks,Has Blair eatten anything today?”asked Edna.”She had some toast and orange jucie about 8 this morning then threw it up 15 minutes later.”said Marcie.”Its after two maybe she’ll want some soup.”said Edna.”If she’ll keep it down.”said Marcie.”Can we use your kitchen?”asked Edna.”Sure help yourself, I’ll just be in by Blair giving her the medicine I bought her.”said Marcie.”I’ll take it to her, you go and have fun before school starts in a few weeks.”said Jo.”Thanks its on the coffee table over there along with a glass of water.”said Marcie.”Ok.”said Jo.”I’ll be over at Lisa’s if Blair or anyone needs me.”said Marcie as she walks toward the door.”Allright have fun.”said Edna as Marice leaves.

Jo walks into Blair’s room and looks over at her bed to see Blair awake and staring at her.”What are you doing?”asked Blair.”Im bringing you some medicine and I came to see how you were feeling.”said Jo.”Thanks, I feel like death.”said Blair.”Well maybe you’ll feel better after you take this stuff,And Edna is making you some soup.”said Jo.”I don’t think I can keep anything down.”said Blair.

“Its chicken noodle.”said Edna as she walks into the room.Blair gets a strange look on her face then stands up.”I think im going to be sick.”said Blair as she runs into the bathroom.
By now you can here Blair throwing up.”Are you allright?”asked Edna.”No.”said Blair
quickly then throws up.

Jo opens the door then walks into the bathroom and closes it behind her,She kneels down next to Blair just as Blair throws up.Jo puts her left hand on Blair’s back and rubs it.
Blair looks up.”Jo,What are you doing in here?”asked Blair.”I was going to hold your hair back but its up.”said Jo.”T…..Ugh”said Blair as she throws up.Jo rubs Blair’s back.

About five minutes later Blair reaches over and flushes the toilet,Then looks over at Jo.”Can you help me up?”asked Blair.”Sure.”said Jo as she stands up.Jo holds out her right hand,Blair grabs it and slowly pulls herself up with Jo’s helps.”Thanks.”said Blair.”Anytime.”said Jo.”Im going to brush my teeth.”said Blair then walks over to the sink.Blair sudenly feels dizzy and looses her balance,She starts to fall,Jo holds her arms out and Blair falls into Jo’s arms before she has a chance to hit the floor.”Lets get you to bed.”said Jo as she helps Blair out of the bathroom.

Blair and Jo slowly walk into the bedroom and over to Blair’s bed.Blair sits down on her bed then she leans her head back onto her pillows.”Im going to get you a cold washcloth.”
said Jo as she walks into the bathroom.

Edna walks over to Blair and sits down on the bed next to her.”You sure you don’t want anything to eat.”said Edna.”Very sure.”said Blair.

“Here you go, This might help.”said Jo as she walks out of the bathroom and over to Blair.Jo places the washcloth on Blair’s head.”Thanks.”said Blair.”Sure,Blair I think you should see a doctor.”said Jo.”No I’ll be fine,Its just the flu,Some rest and I sould be fine.”said Blair.”The flu does not last two weeks.”said Jo.”Im fine.”said Blair.”Blair your not fine,You need to see doctor,You could be right it might just be the flu,But what if its not.”said Jo.”Jo’s right you need to see a doctor.”said Edna.”I can stand to see you suffer like this.”said Jo.Blair takes a deep breath.”Fine I’ll go tomorrow.”said Blair.”No you’ll go today,You’ll go now.”said Jo.Blair takes the washcloth off her head and sets it on her nightstand.”Fine,If someone will help me up I’ll go put on some real clothes.”said Blair.Jo holds out her hand and helps Blair up.

About 20 minutes later Blair is dressed in sweat pants, a t-shirt,sneekers,and her hair in a
Poneytail.”I never thought I’d see Blair dressed like that as long as I lived.”said Jo.
“Well when you feel like I do all you want is to feel comfortable.”said Blair.”Comfort,Now
that’s the Blair I know.”said Jo.”Where are you taking me?”asked Blair.”Well either the ER
or your Doctor.”said Jo.”I don’t have one here yet so just take me to the ER.”said Blair.
“Allright,We’ll take my car.”said Jo.”Ok,What about Marcie and Morgan?”asked Blair.”Im
going to stay here incase they come here looking for you.”said Edna.”Ok.”said Blair.”Well
lets get going,There could be people ahead of us.”said Jo.”That’s the worse part the waiting.”said Blair.

It gets better!Much better! I know what is going happen to Blair and Jo in this story and the next two.And its going to be great!

Chapter 3
“Come on think.”said Natalie as she sits at the kitchen table forcing herself to think of an idea to continue her story.”Told you it was bad over here.”said Lisa to Marcie as Lisa hands Marcie a can of soda from the refrigerator.Marcie leans over and wispers into Lisa’s ear.
“You were right.”wispered Marcie.”I heard that.”said Natalie.”GGrrrrrr.”said Lisa.”Look I have a deadline to finish and If I don’t get it done on time I will be dead which means I could get fired which means no one will hire me which means we will be living off of your father’s money which means we’ll be in the poor house which means we will starve and die all because you could not leave me alone.”said both Natalie and Lisa.Marice trys not to laugh.”Whats so funny,I don’t think that’s funny.”said Natalie.”Mom atleast get dressed.”said Lisa.”I will not get dressed till Im done.”said Natalie.Marcie leans over to Lisa a whispers into her ear.”Has she even moved from that chair?”asked Marcie.”Only to use the bathroom.”said Lisa.”Im thinking of having your father bring me home some of those depends so I don’t even have to leave the chair.”said Natalie.Lisa and Marcie exchange very strange looks.”Um….Marcie lets go listen to some cd’s.”said Lisa.
”Kay.”said Marcie.”If you two spill that soda on the white carpet your dead!”yelled Natalie as the two girls leave the room.

“So what cd do you want to listen to?”asked Lisa as she opens her cd case.”What do you have?”asked Marcie.”Toby Keith,LeeAnn Rimes,Faith Hill…..”said Lisa getting cut off by Marcie.”Faith Hill.”said Marcie.”Which one?”asked Lisa.”The one with ‘This Kiss’.”said Marcie.Lisa takes out the cd then puts it her cd player,She then turns it on and turns the voulme up abit.”Hey I want to show you something.”said Lisa.”What?”asked Marcie.Lisa walks over to her the foot of her bed,She shoves her things off her trunk and on to the floor then opens the trunk,She moves somethings around then takes out a ziplock bag full of hair dye then closes the trunk and walks over to Marcie.”Hair dye.”said Lisa as she shows Marcie the bag.”Cool,You plan to dye your hair?”asked Marcie.”Yep,I thought that you and Callie would too.”said Lisa.”What colors do you have?”asked Marcie.”Blond, Black, Red,
Brown two of each.”said Lisa.Marcie thinks for a minute.”I don’t know, I’d love to dye my hair a brownish color…..but Im in enough trouble with Blair as it is….I do stand a very good chance of getting away with it though.”said Marcie.”So is it a yes?”asked Lisa.”YES! I’ll do it,I allways wanted brown hair.”said Marcie.”Why?”asked Lisa.”My mom had brown hair,If I dye my hair her color I would look just like her.”said Marcie.”Cool.”said Lisa.”Yep,So what color are you dying yours?”asked Marcie.”Red, Bright Red.”said Lisa.”Cool,When do you want to do it?”asked Marcie.”Well now…But I thought Callie could do it with us but we can do hers later next week.”said Lisa.”We can do it in an empty apartment room in my building so no one will see us.”said Marcie.”Cool,Help me grab somethings.”said Lisa. “Like what?”asked Marcie.”Towels about 6,Combs,Brushes,a large bag,baseball caps.”said Lisa.”Kay.”said Marcie.

About ten minutes later the two girls are ready.”Ok we’ll sneek into the building take the back stairs up to the third floor and to the last room on the right.”said Marcie.”Sounds like a plan.”said Lisa as the two girls walk out of Lisa’s room.

Lisa and Marcie walk pass the kitchen and see Natalie writing.”Mom Im going to the Movies with Marcie.”said Lisa.”Ok but nothing rated R and be home by six for dinner.”said Natalie.”Marcie and I were just going to eat there.”said Lisa.”Fine,You need any money?”asked Natalie.”No im fine.”said Lisa.”Ok have fun.”said Natalie as the two girls walk out of the house.

Lisa and Marcie slowly walk into the apartment building,The two the walk to the back of the building and then climb up the stairs.

When the two reach the room Marcie closes and locks the door then they both walk into the bathroom and Marcie closes the door behind them.

Lisa sets the bag on the sink then opens it and takes out the hair dye.”It says to wet hair.”said Lisa.”Ok,Um I’ll put my head under the the tub water and you can use the sink.”said Marcie.”Kay.”said Lisa.

One hour later Lisa and Marcie’s hair is finished.The two girls look at their new hair in the mirror.”You look so much better with brown hair.”said Lisa.”Thanks,Your red hair is very cool.”said Marcie.”You think?”questioned Lisa.”Yep, Its cool.”said Marcie.”Yeah it is.”said Lisa.”My God I look so much like my mom at 15 it’s scary.”said Marcie. “I don’t look anything like my birth mother,I thank God for that.”said Lisa.”We better clean up.”said Marcie.

Ten minutes later Marcie and Lisa walk downstairs each with their hair stuffed in the basball caps that their waring.”I never thought you would own a hat that said Hottie.”said Marcie.”My old Boyfriend gave it to me when I was 12 but we ended our relationship a week after I turned 14, You have the best hat.”said Lisa.”I hate yellow.”said Marcie.

“Then why are you waring it?”asked Morgan as she slowly walks up from behind Lisa and Marcie.”What are you doing?”asked Marcie nervously.Morgan walks past Marcie and quickly walks over to Lisa and takes the cap off of Lisa’s head.”The question is what did you do to your hair?”asked Morgan.”Give me my hat back.”said Lisa as she chaces Morgan.”No Way!”said Morgan.Lisa knocks Morgan on the floor and starts to fight her for the hat.”GIVE ME MY HAT!”yelled Lisa.

Edna walks down the hallway then and over to Lisa and Morgan and pulls them apart.”Girls! What are you doing?”Asked Edna.”Nothing Mrs.G.”said Marcie.”Lisa what in Gods name did you do to your hair?”asked Edna.”I….um…..”said Lisa.”…..Dyed it.”said Marcie quickly finishing Lisa’s sentence.Edna looks over at Marcie.”Marcie take your hat off.”said Edna.”Do I have to?”asked Marcie softly.”Yes.”said Edna.Marcie slowly takes her cap off to reveal her Brown hair.”This is great.”said Morgan as she starts to laugh.”Morgan go back inside.”said Edna.”Oh fine.”said Morgan as she walks down the hall.”Lisa you better go home.”said Edna kinda upset and disipointed.”Bye Marcie.”said Lisa softly.”Bye.”said Marcie softly.

Edna and Marcie walk into the apartment.”Marcie go to your room.”said Edna.”Fine.”said Marcie softly as she walks toward her room.

Marcie walks into her room and closes the door behind her, She walks over to her bed and lays down with her back facing the door.

Marcie stares at the picture of her mother on her nightstand.”All I wanted was to look like you,All I needed was to dye my hair brown,Now I look just like you were at my age,Only now I will be forced to either dye it back or wait for my hair to change back,I never knew you or heard your voice……Well not that I know of anyway, I just wanted to feel like I was close to you in someway……I don’t know…..I was offered the chance and I took it…….No matter how awful my punishment is I know I made the right decision.”said Marcie to the picture of her mother.

Edna stands in the hallway and knocks on Marcie’s door.’I hope I know what to say to her,I hope I stay calm without letting her know I overheard what she just said,I hope.’Thought Edna as she opens the door to Marcie’s room.

Edna walks in and over to Marcie, Edna sits down on Marcie’s bed.Marcie turns around and faces Edna.”Im dead right?”questioned Marcie.”Well Im not your parent so I can not punish you,But Blair can,when she comes home.”said Edna.” Where is she ?”Asked Marcie.”Jo took her to the Hospital.”said Edna.”Is she allright?”asked Marcie abit concerned.”Im not sure yet,But they have been gone for about two hours now.”said Edna.

“What do you think Blair will do to me?”asked Marcie.”I’m not sure,She might ground you,but that’s the worse she could do.”said Edna.”Are you mad at me?”asked Marcie.
“No im not mad,Im more disipointed with you.” Said Edna.” Disappointed ,Huh never heard that one before, either they are shocked, mad, angry, or are yelling at me, Sometimes all the above, But disappointed, No.”said Marcie.”Im disipionted because I know that you know better then to do something like this.”said Edna.”You don’t know me too well.”said Marcie.”You’er a smart girl.”said Edna.”I guess not smart enough.”said Marcie.”You saw a chance where no one would stand in your way and you took it, Even smart people make poor decisions.”said Edna.” You were standing by my door listening weren’t you.”said Marcie.”Guilty.”said Edna.”So you know my reasons for doing it.”said Marcie.”Yes,I know how much miss her,I miss mine just as much as you must miss yours.”said Edna.”No you don’t, How could you even know? I never even knew my mother,All I have is a few pictures and only the few things my dad told me,that’s it.” said Marcie somewhat angry.

Edna looks over at the picture of Marcie’s mother.” She was pretty, you look just like her with your brown hair.”Said Edna.”Thanks.”said Marcie.”What was her name?”asked Edna.
“Lena, that was one of the only things my father told me about her, other then they shorten both of their names to name me.”said Marcie.”What is your full name?”asked Edna. “Marcie Jaylene Gentry, Jay after my dad and Lene after Lena my mom.”said Marcie.
“You have a very beautiful name.”said Edna.”Thanks.”said Marcie with a smile.

Meanwhile Lisa slowly walks into her house,She looks around and notices Natalie in the kitchen.

Lisa slowly walks past the kitchen making sure she does not make any noise.”Lisa you left your music on when you left earlier I turned it off.”said Natalie without looking up from her laptop.Lisa looks nervous thinking that Natalie saw her red hair.”Sorry.”said Lisa nervously.”Don’t let it happen again.”said Natalie not looking up.”I wont.”said Lisa as she starts to walk away but stops when she sees Tabitha walking toward her.”Lisa what did you do to your hair?”asked Tabitha.”Crap.”mumbled Lisa under her breath.

Natalie looks up from her laptop.”Lisa Rachel Gates! What is the world did you do to your hair ?”Asked Natalie yelling and in shock.”I um…. Dyed it.”said Lisa nervously.”It looks pretty.”said Tabitha.”Tabby go to your room.”said Natalie.”But I just came out of there after my nap.”said Tabitha.”Fine Lisa you go help Tabby fix her hair, Don’t dye it.”said Natalie.”I wont,So am I grounded?”asked Lisa.”Yes, You must cook dinner, Clean up after, and take care of Tabby and Sammy till I finish my book which will take about a week.”said Natalie.”Fine come on Tabby.”said Lisa as the two girls walk down the hallway.

Jo walks into the waiting room and sits down in a chair next to Blair.”They still haven’t called you yet.”said Jo.”No,Look at this place half of New York must be here,I will never get in their.”Said Blair with a sigh.” Don’t worry Im going to see if you’er next.”said Jo.”Kay.”said Blair.

Jo stands up and walks over to the front desk.”Nurse.”said Jo.”Yeah.”said the nurse.”Is my friend Blair Gentry next.”asked Jo.The nurse looks in a metal bin with clipboards.”Blair Gentry Stomach pains,Vomiting headaches,dizziness.”said the nurse.”That’s her.”said Jo.”She’s the next person after the 4 before her.”said the nurse.Jo looks eye to eye with the nurse.”Look im a lawyer,I can will take you to court if you do not get her in next.”said Jo in an angry demanding voice.“I’ll see what I can do.”said the nurse.”Thank-you.”said Jo.

Jo walks over to Blair and sits down next to her.”You should be next.”said Jo.
”Thanks.”said Blair.”Sure.”said Jo.

Blair gets a strange look on her face, Blair place a hand on her head.”You allright?”asked Jo.”Are those Bathrooms clean?”Asked Blair.”Why?”asked Jo looking worried.Blair slowly stands up.”Cause I need them.”said Blair in a rush.Jo quickly stands up and helps Blair to the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later Blair and Jo are in a room waiting for a doctor to see Blair.”Blair,I think I might know what is wrong with you.”said Jo.”What?”asked Blair as she looks over at Jo from the stretcher she is laying on.”I never thought of it till just now.”said Jo.
“What?”asked Blair sitting up on the stretcher.”Were you and Jay close near the end?”asked Jo hinting around.”I know what you’re thinking and I doubt it,we were careful.”said Blair knowing what Jo was hinting at and not liking the idea.”Just asking because I had those same symptoms with Rosemarie and my miscarriage.”said Jo.
”Well…..I was drunk most of the time……No, no I’m not………You really think so?”questioned Blair.”I really do think so.”said Jo.Blair leans back on the stretcher and stares at the ceiling with a look of worry on her face.

Ten minutes later a doctor walks into the room,He looks down at his clipboard then back up.”Blair Gentry.”said the Doctor.Blair lifts up her hand.”Over here.”said Blair.”Im going to be waiting in the hall.”said Jo.”Kay.”said Blair just as Jo leaves.

Jo walks over to a payphone and decides to call Blair’s house to tell Edna how Blair’s doing.

Jo picks up the phone and places it to her ear then puts some money in the coin part then she dials the number.”Hello?”asked Edna from the other line.”Hey im just calling to tell you that the doctor is just seeing Blair.”said Jo.”Just now,It must be busy.”said Edna.”Very busy,Anyway they may be running tests so we might not be back for awhile.”said Jo.”That’s fine,Just as long as Blair’s allright,I’ll just take Marcie and Morgan back to my place and cook dinner there.”said Edna.”Ok,How are they?”asked Jo.”Morgan’s fine, Marcie and Lisa got into some trouble though.”said Edna.”What kind of trouble?”asked Jo.”They dyed their hair.”said Edna.”Really,I didn’t think they would do that,Im glad Callie wasn’t here.What colors?”asked Jo.”Lisa dyed her’s a bright red and Marcie’s is some type of brown.”said Edna.”I cant wait to see how that looks,I hope Blair doesn’t Kill Marcie.”said Jo.”I doubt it.”said Edna.”True Blair isn’t a Natural blond.”said Jo.”I better go Bruce is at the door.”said Edna.”Yeah same here someone wants the phone.”said Jo.”Bye.”said Jo then hangs up the phone.

“Well Mrs.Gentry we only have one more test left.”said the doctor.”Great,which one?”asked Blair.”A blood test.”said the doctor.”A blood test…..I…um….Cant we skip that one.”Said Blair nervously.”Im afraid not.”said the doctor.”If you must.”said Blair.
“Great.”said the doctor.

The Doctor walks over a table and takes a needle, alcohol wipe,and a band-aid off the table then walks over to Blair.The doctor takes the alcohol wipe and wipes a spot on Blair’s arm.”OUCH!”yelled Blair.”Its only the alcohol wipe.”said the doctor.”Oh.”said Blair just as the doctor sticks her.”All done.”said the Doctor.”That didn’t hurt.”said Blair.The doctor smiles.”I’ll be back with the tests in a few minutes.”said the doctor as he leaves the room.

Thirty minutes later the doctor walks back into the room, He look down at his clipboard then back up at Blair.”Well Mrs.Gentry I have your results.”said the Doctor.Blair looks at him worried.”Well.”said Blair nervously.” Your 3 months Pregnant.” Said the Doctor. Blair’s eyes slowly widen.”Im what?”asked Blair in shock.”Your 3 months Pregnant.”said the Doctor.”I…I…Oh Lord.”said Blair.”It must be quite a shock.”said the doctor.”You don’t know the half of it.”said Blair.

“I will need to see you in a week to see how you’re doing,Your drinking may have already caused damage, If you any questions or problems before then you can come in.”said the doctor as he starts to leave.”Thank-You.”said Blair as the doctor leaves.

Blair stands up and picks up her purse.’My life is over,I can barely raise two teenaged girls how can I raise another?’Thought Blair.’I don’t know what I will do,I cant put Marcie and Morgan through this, There father dies,I start in drinking more then before, Now this, I can not do this to them its not right.’Thought Blair as she walks out of the room.

Blair walks over to Jo whom is sitting in a chair in the waiting area.”Ready to go.”said Blair softly.Jo stands up.”Ready,Are you allright?”asked Jo.Blair is sightline as the two walk out of the hospital.

‘This is just a dream ,I will wake up soon and I will be in my own bed.’Thought Blair.
”Blair.”Said Jo.Blair suddenly snaps out of her thoughts.”Huh?”asked Blair.”We’er at the car.”said Jo.”Oh yeah,Right.”said Blair.Jo looks at her strangely.”Blair what did the doctor say?”asked Jo.Blair takes a deep breath.”Im Pregnant.”said Blair in a depressed way.Jo studies Blair’s face.”Juding by your face that’s not great news.”said Jo.Blair opens the car door.”Your right,and You cant tell anyone.”said Blair.”Why not?”questioned Jo.”Because im going to have an abortion.”said Blair calmly.”Your what?”asked Jo in shock.”You heard me.”said Blair.Jo looks at Blair and can tell she is serious about her decision. Blair then gets into the car and slams the door shut.

“Mrs.Garrett when is Mom coming home?”asked Morgan as she sets the kitchen table.”I don’t know sweetie, Jo said it shouldn’t be too much longer.”said Edna as she cuts up some vegetables. “I think she just has the flu and will be fine, nothing to be dramatic about.”said Marcie while setting the chicken on the table. “I don’t want to loose her, she’s the only parent I have left.”said Morgan. “Im in the same boat but you don’t see me getting worked up about nothing.”said Marcie while walking over to the counter.”Nothing she be dying!”Said Morgan overreacting. Marcie walks over to the table and sets some glasses down.”Morgan relax I’m sure she will be fine, Now help me finish the salad.”said Edan. “All right.”said Morgan as she walks over to Edna.

Meanwhile Blair and Jo walk into Blair’s apartment house.”Jo could you go get my girls?”asked Blair. “Sure………..Blair we need to talk.”said Jo. “About what?” questioned Blair. ”You know what.”said Jo. “Look you know my decision.” said Blair in an angry tone. “If you don’t want the baby then at least put it up for adoption, There are millions of people who would love to have a child but cant.”said Jo. “I could not do that, I would worry weather its being loved enough, if its being hurt, if its going hungry, I cant do that.”said Blair upset and emotional. “Then keep the baby and raise it, Love it, protect it, feed it.”said Jo. “I cant, I don’t have the time to raise it, I can barely raise Marcie and Morgan, Its easier with them because they are older and can protect themselves better then a baby could. I probably have killed the baby already, or caused brain damage.”said Blair.
“Then you could stop drinking and find out from the doctor if there is something you could do.”said Jo. “I don’t want the baby!” yelled Blair in an emotional rage. “Fine I’m going home, I’ll tell your girls to come home after dinner.”said Jo as she starts to leave.

“Jo.”said Blair fighting back the tears. Jo turns around.”What?” asked Jo calmly? “Please do not tell anyone………..Please.” said Blair emotionally as she holds back the tears. Jo turns around and walks toward the door and opens it.”I wont.”said Jo as she leaves.

Jo walks into her house, she sets her purse on the coat rack then she walks toward the kitchen.

“Mrs.G could you pass the ranch dressing?”asked Marcie. “Sure.”said Edna as she picks up the ranch dressing then hands it to Marcie.”Thanks.”said Marcie.

Jo walks into the kitchen and over to the refrigerator and opens the door. “How’s Mom?” asked Morgan quickly. Jo takes out a bottle of water then closes the door. “She’s fine.” Said Jo calmly. “Is it the flu?”asked Marcie. “Yes.”said Jo lying. “See I told you she’s not dying.”said Marcie to Morgan. “I’m going to my room.”said Jo. “What about dinner?”asked Edna. “I’m not hungry.” said Jo as she leaves.

“I’m going to see mom.”said Morgan as she stands up. “She’s probably resting, Finish your dinner.”said Edna. Morgan sits down.”Fine.”said Morgan picking up her fork.

Jo walks into her bedroom closing the door behind her. She walks over to her bed and sits down.

Jo reaches next to her bed and picks up her notebook and pen and starts to write.

August 21 2001,

Why is my life so hard? I tried to have a great life, A Husband two girls, A perfect job, A great house, A baby on the way, life was great.

Now I have an Ex Husband who hurt his wife and kids, who wants to wants to take the girls from me, I have a job that I start in after labor day, I share a house with someone else, I had a miscarriage, My life is awful.

Now my alcoholic best friend wants to have an abortion, I wish she would get some help and keep the baby, I don’t think I’m strong enough to watch her do this to herself, I’m only one person, I have to worry about loosing my kids and never seeing them again and Blair wants to loose hers.

I don’t understand anything anymore, I feel like I’m just here, Like what I say, what I do, and How I feel means nothing to people.

I hate myself, I hate my life, I wish everything was over.
