Here's a little game for those of you who love to imagine that they can time travel. Using the Wikipedia link below, pick any season from the past which represents a year before you were born and as you go through each night's lineups, list all the series that you would have watched if you had been alive during that season.
Network TV Fall schedules 1946-2015 For example, to start things off, I will pick for myself the 1962-63 season. If I had been around to see it, I would have planned a typical viewing week this way: Mondays 8:30 The Lucy Show 9:00 Danny Thomas 9:30 Andy Griffith Tuesdays 8:30 Red Skelton 9:30 Jack Benny 10:00 Garry Moore Wednesdays 8:30 Dobie Gillis 9:00 Beverly Hillbillies 9:30 Dick Van Dyke Thursdays The reason I chose this particular year! 7:30 Ozzie & Harriet 8:00 Donna Reed 8:30 Leave It To Beaver 9:00 My Three Sons 9:30 McHale's Navy Fridays 8:30 The Flintstones Saturdays 7:00 Beany & Cecil 8:00 Hockey Night In Canada Even back then, just like today, I would never have missed any games! Sundays The only night where I'd have to switch channels! 7:00 Father Knows Best 7:30 Dennis The Menace 8:30 Car 54, Where Are You? 9:00 Bonanza 10:00 Candid Camera What about Ed Sullivan at 8, you ask? That would depend on who he had on that week. If it was someone I liked, I would have watched. Otherwise, I would follow this lineup. If you stop and think about this, it may take some time to finish it but for me it was a lot of fun to do. I hope it turns out the same way for you. |

My TV season is 1976-1977 and aside from Three's Company which began in spring of '77 none of the other shows even remotely call my interest, yeah in the 80's I watched reruns of Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley but I can't stand them now.

Sal, Thanks for the link. Wonderful to glance at the past. "The tv show " OK MOTHER" sponsored by Milk of Magnesia. NOt much as changed in 65 years. Advertisers aiming at the older folk.

The 1984-1985 TV Season: It was the first seasons for The Cosby Show & Who's The Boss while Alice, The Jeffersons & Dukes of Hazzard broadcasted their final seasons on the air.

Mine would also be 1974-75; there would only be four shows that I would see in that season:
The Streets of San Francisco Mannix Petrocelli O-R Jack Lord Five-O |
