Eek Full Frontal Sitcoms

This has been happening on sitcoms (especially today) where a character on a sitcom goes...nude. Now it can be just episodes where it's not seen yet heard like "Home Improvement"'s "The Naked Truth" or "That 70's Show" called "The Streaker" where Eric Forman wears just a Nixon Mask and shoes.

On "The Golden Girls", Blanche, Dorothy and Rose went to a nudist colony. Then they took off their clothes and held a "Happy Valentine's Day" heart in front of them.

On M*A*S*H, Hawkeye Pierce (Alan Alda) walked into the mess tent wearing only a hat and boots -- his midsection was obscured from view by various means.

On The Dick Van Dyke Show, Laura Petrie (Mary Tyler Moore) had posed for a painting clothed, but her character was said to be depicted nude when the painting appeared years later.

"Friends" has a few episodes with nudity like "The one with the Flashback" where Monica invites Joey for something to drink and Joey takes off his clothes. "The one in Las Vegas Part 2" Phoebe mentions she walks around naked in her apartment and Rachel does the same thing. And there's Ugly Naked Guy.

In a 3rd season episode of Three's Company both Janet and Mrs. Roper (yikes!) had taken their clothes off because of a nude beach nearby, later we see them hiding behind some bushes *snicker* but the view is only from the shoulders up.

That's okay, that counts.

In "Full House" the episode called "Our Very First Show" showed Michelle Tanner bottomless because Jessie and Joey try to change her diaper in a hilarious way! Then there's Jesse Katsopilis' video "Forever" (Originally by The Beach Boys) where Jesse holds one of his sons...luckily Nicky or Alex didn't pee on him.

In "Family Matters", "The Naked and the Nerdy", Steve and Laura see each other nude ("Home Improvement" did the same thing a year before)! In "Getting Buff", Eddie Winslow's girlfriend Greta is a nude model because her family needed money...and Carl's neighbor was told he sunbathes nude!

There was a funny episode of "Good Morning, World" from either 1967 or 1968, which involved the two guys going to a nudist colony. It was quite funny, perhaps the best episode in the whole short-lived series.

Also, when you go way back in films, from around 1932-34, there were several that brought up jokes and incidents about nudist colonies. Including an early Technicolor short with Leon Errol, which used the topic as a closing gag. Must have been a topical subject in the news around that time.

Love, American Style: Meredith MacRae's character becomes involved with nudists in an episode -- set to marry one if I remember correctly. Meredith's hair was long enough to cover her boobs (and concealing whatever covering she had, maybe pasties). Schwiiing! Quite erotic!

Here's another character...Ray's brother (Brad Garret) in "Everybody Loves Raymond" sleeps in the nude!

In the "Home Improvement" Pilot Episode, though there's no nudity, Tim "The Toolman" Taylor scares Brad and Randy about telling stories around a campfire naked. Then Mark starts to remove his clothes, Tim asks "what are you doin'"? Mark replies "Gettin' Nekkid"! Tim insists to be semi-nude (Thank God)! And on "It's my Party", Wilson is taking a sauna bath with only a hat on. Tim tells Wilson he has a tattoo on his butt, but Wilson accidentally burned himself on the sauna coals. There was also a "wardrobe malfunction" in that episode where Tim waxes the floor and the waxer gets ahold of his pants.

In "Drew Carey Show", "Dog and Pony Show", Drew, Lewis, Oswald, Larry, and Nigel strip in the courtroom to raise money for Mrs. Louder's dog after he got castrated. Drew Carey even gave the audience money because they saw his butt. In "Hush Little Baby" Lewis walks around naked in the bar since he thinks he's dying because of the common cold, then Nigel joins in by going nude himself!

In "Amen", "Wedding Bell Blues", Sherman Hemsley's character Ernest Frye gets in a fight with Thelma Hopkin's character Charlotte Holloway and Deacon Frye is then only seen in a necktie and covering his naughty bits with a hat and a suitcase. When he wins the case...Frye throws his hat up in the air and his ding-a-ling is exposed to the judge. And rumor had it...Hemsley was actually nude and not wearing a tan speedo!

"Night Court": Michael Richards was in an episode, and at the end he was totally naked.

"Empty Nest": Charlie posed nude in an art class that one or both of the Weston sisters were in.

"Three's Company": Jack posed naked for an art class, and the painting he posed for was hung in the bar near the apartment.

Wasn't there an episode of Sanford and Son where the episode was all about Grady and his family and there was a nude picture on the wall?

On "Yes, Dear", Greg Warner wonders why Logan Hughes is streaking in his backyard. It's because Jimmy and Christine thought it was more convenient. Later, Greg gets his son Sam to do the same thing, except...wasn't interested.

The "Malcolm in the Middle" Pilot ep shows Hal getting manscaped and Lois answers the door topless!

In "Kirk", there's an ep where Kirk's girlfriend to love in her apartment. But she organizes TOO much! (The Cold Opening has Kirk to encourage Russel that he won't go down the drain). His landlady tells Kirk "You know it's raining...he'll need a hat".

And in "Frasier", Bulldog's butt is seen!

This is one of the earliest shows that I remember seeing as a child that had a nudity flavor. As a 10 year old I wondered how far is this going!

In an episode from the final season of "Wings," Joe and Helen decide to become nudists inside their house since Brian and Casey moved out. However, pictures of their nudity goes online for everyone (including Roy) to see.

On "That '70s Show", also in its final season, Donna took naked pictures of herself to send to Eric but they end up in the hands of everyone in the group, including Red and Kitty!
