Cancellations and Endings of the 2014-15 Broadcast TV Season - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This thread focuses on the series that will cease airing first-run or are quickly canceled during the 2014-15 broadcast TV season.

The series that are slated for retirement this season are:

Glee (6 seasons)
Parenthood (6 seasons)
Parks and Recreation (7 seasons)
Two and a Half Men (12 seasons)

Also, two series that were planned to launch during this season will not go forward: Hieroglyph (FOX) and Emerald City (NBC).

My picks for the new fall sitcoms which I believe will be cancelled first:

1. Selfie
2. Cristela
3. Black-ish

^Cristela premieres 10/10, only Marry Me, Constantine & State of Affairs premiere later than that on the Big Four so I'd say they are unlikely to be among the first cancellations of the season.

My picks:

1. The Mysteries of Laura
2. Madame Secretary
3. Manhattan Love Story

The only show i'll miss gone is "Parenthood" but it's last season was terribly disappointing.

Depending if it's good or not, I really hope "Mysteries of Laura" doesn't get canceled. I love Debra Messing and I hope this is a success for her.

...Well "Parenthood" has been the most largely ignored show of current quality entertainment!!

I mean, if you want "Modern Familly" and "The Middle"...mixed in, than this your show!

Another series which is likely to end after this season is The Mentalist. Its renewal for a seventh season last May came as such a surprise after ratings and viewership hit new lows during the previous season (its sixth). It is said that the episode order may be for 13 installments, which will likely wrap up the series and its ongoing storylines.

I think there has been some talk that ABC's Revenge may end after season 4. Throughout most of its run, the ratings have been mediocre (Season 1 averaged a 2.5 in the 18-49 demo; Season 2 averaged a 2.2; Season 3 averaged a 1.6; Season 4 opened last Sunday to a 1.5 demo rating).I think the series now stands as the lowest-rated on the ABC Network.

I love Revenge but it wouldn't surprise me if season 4 was its last. Although, they may try to milk it for another season because it does at least have a popular and well known name.

I was wondering what happened to The Mentalist? it doesn't come on any more it used to come on Sundays at 10:00 pm I hope they decied to keep it maybe another cahnnel might pick it up. it was one of my favorite shows.

^^Actually, several recent reports state that one of The Mentalist's stars, Tim Kang, has confirmed that Season 7 of The Mentalist will really be the last season.
