This is why I don't see the point in being married because everything is so one-sided. A woman wants you to be excited and support her when something good happens in her life but doesn't want to return the favor when something happens for the man

It may have taken a while, but in the end, James did support Florida's decision to go back to school. So Florida should have supported James in wanting the better job in Alaska. Florida was more insecure than James.

My mom was telling me back in 1976 there was a national story about how lots of men were going to work on the Alaska Pipe Line to make more money and send it home

It pisses me off that Florida got so upset about James wanting to provide for his family the best way he could.
Florida was too complacent with being poor and living in the projects.
