Sept 4th, 2014 Jennifer Lawrence has broken the world record for highest-grossing female action movie heroine ever. Playing the District 12 tribute and heroine, Katniss Everdeen not only launched her career to new heights, but has also nabbed a place in the 2015 edition of the Guinness World Records book. This extra surprising because the Hunger Games franchise is only halfway through. In the first two movies alone, the character grossed an incredible $832 million on the international market, and Catching Fire itself was the highest grossing post-apocalyptic film ever.
