The one cool thing about this show is we never ever saw..........
any of the sweathoggs parents. They just made reference to them but never seen which was a good thing about this show because it never turned in the direction of a family sitcom

we did see arnold's mother a few times i think she was the only parent we saw of them

That's true. They never did show the parents. And it worked, like Niles' "Maris" on Frasier and Norm's "Vera" on Cheers!
