"Mom" Casts Sara Rue as [Spoiler]'s Girlfriend, Ed Asner as New Neighbor

"Mom‘s" newest addition has "Less Than Perfect" taste in men. Sara Rue will recur in Season 2 of the CBS comedy as the girlfriend of Matt Jones’ Baxter, TVLine has learned exclusively.

While Baxter lives in a van, Rue’s Candace is smart, successful and has her life very together.

Additionally, Ed Asner will appear in Rue’s first episode as Jack, a tenant in the new apartment building that Bonnie (Allison Janney) and Christy (Anna Faris) move into.

"Mom" returns Monday, Sept. 29 at 8:30/7:30c.

I don't think Ed Asner has a name for the character, so to me it is Lou Grant who is now old and crazy living in the apartment trying to score with young chicks like Bonnie.
