TV Billy Miller Replaces Steve Burton on "GH"

"General Hospital" Recasts Jason
by Vlada Gelman
September 2, 2014

Meet "General Hospital‘s" new Jason Morgan.

Y&R star/Emmy winner Billy Miller will take on the role of the presumed dead character, executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed on Twitter after weeks of speculation.

I am really excited to be working with such a talented and acclaimed actor as Billy,” Valentini said in a statement. “Our cast is thrilled that he will be joining our General Hospital family, and I know that he will be an amazing addition to our talented cast.

Right now they're not showing his face and he can't talk because he pulled out the breathing tube and hurt his vocal chords.

Do you think it's actually Billy or someone else prior to Billy signing on to the show? It doesn't look like him to me....but I could be wrong

No the mute & unseen "Jason" is not being played by Billy Miller, due to so many acting schedules, multi scenes are shot in a day such as with Kimberly (Robin) and then are sometimes not used for months. All of Anthony Geary appearances over the summer were shot in May 2014 since he has the summer off and a winter break as well.

That is why GH has so many story problems for example....When "Faison" shot & pushed "Jason" into the harbor 2 years ago, he had just accepted "Danny" as his own, was happy with Sam, & thought Franco & Robin were dead.

On episode aired 9/22/14 Robin just glazes over while driving...LOL.. BTW Jason....Danny is your bio child, Franco is NOT your brother, plus nothing was addressed on how/when he found out Robin was alive! If I was Jason I would ask for the tumor back, if they expect us to accept Billy as Jason, He should have blown up at the clinic and got burned so badly he needed plastic surgery. Reunion scenes will mean nothing with such a legacy character being replaced. This isn't like replacing Lulu.

Also how could Robin who knew from Helena that Anna was in the clinic when it exploded just escape with Jason without a thought or care for her mother leaving her for the dead? We knew they were fine but Robin/Jason didn't!

BAD IDEA ALL AROUND, should have waited till Steve was willing to return under the same terms "Y&R" gave him.

The did do the plastic surgery explanation but not in the way you expected. He jumped out of a moving car to escape from Helena's thugs and was hit by Ava who didn't see him in the road.

Thank you for update, but not needed I have watched GH and previous spin-offs for 35 years. You can check my dated post as I could write for the series I am so familiar with the characters and history. Doing the plastic surgery thing no matter how it happened was the only way dedicated viewers would even consider accepting a recast of a "legacy character" as "Jason Morgan". I have VHS tapes from when he was born from mother "Susan Moore".

I clearly predicted 7 months ahead that "brit" was carrying "lulu & Dante" child "Ben" now "rocko".

As for the whole "fluke" situation, unless it's another rubber mask stunt, not much of a payoff unless it's Geary played luke's cousin who was associated with the mob, character from 80's dead "Bill Eckert" or bills' son who could look like Luke. Otherwise whoever it is, who cares since he won't be able to do a big reveal as others have.

Based on the responses from the fb GH are pointing to Bill Eckert as fluke.
