It always makes me sad seeing The Jim Henson Hour rank so low in the weekly ratings. The show kept falling every week. After the lowly 7.7/14 rating/share of the first episode, the next three episodes saw what little bottom there was fall out, as it dropped to a 6.2/13, then a 5.8/11, and then a 5.6/10. After the Sunday May 14th episode brought in only a 5.2/11, NBC cancelled the show. Four of the remaining episodes were burned off in July on Sundays, and those episodes respectively brought in ratings of 4.6/10, 3.9/8, 4.0/9, and 4.6/10. Yes, two episodes couldn't even earn a 10 percent audience share.

Didn't Murphy Brown debut that year as well?
