Why in the hell did James let Marcy go into Thelma's Room to change her clothes.....because of the goof stage set up with no bathroom in the Evans Household

They were both females.... I would have let Marcy change clothes in Thelma's room too.
 If it was a guy named Mark rather than a gal named Marcy, I would have had qualms....
