Default Brady Bunch Tantrums & Conniptions!

There are some moments in Brady Bunch that are NOT Brady like, where the kids yell more than usual and have major fits! Here are some that I can think of!

Marcia yelling when at first Mike and Carol don't believe her about the "George Washington/Mrs. Dentin drawing! "I don't want a party....or anything ever from you!!!" (You can actually see tears in her eyes during her outburst!) She also has a "smaller fit" when Carol tells her she's not gonna be Juliet in the school play. "What do you mean my attitude!!??.....MOM!

When Marcia invites Warren Mullany over to study to bug Greg and Greg brings Kathy Laurence over to bug Marcia! (There is some "good acting friction" in this episode)

Greg: "What's HE doing here? You can tell him to leave before I throw him out! (Reacting to Warren)

Marcia (after her F-F-F-I-L cheer) she comes in and sarcasticlly says, "That was a wonderful cheer Kathy, Warren thinks it's even better than the cheer for his first string basketball team!" and then saying to Greg, "I hope your not still sulking about being replaced!" look at Barry's reaction, he REALLY looks pissed!

Bobby, when he finds out that Mike and Carol told all their friends to buy magazine subscriptions from him, to try to boost his self confidence. he yells, "I'll win something on my own or I won't win anything at all", and throws the orders down to the ground!

Bobby, when he finds out that all the kids lowered the masking tape on his bedroom door to make him think he was growing. "I'm a shrimpo! A pee-wee, I'll never grow another inch as long as I live."

Cindy snubbing Bobby...."Want a piece of licorice?" Bobby, "sure!...Cindy, "I'll bet you do!" (What episode is this one from?)

Marcia misquoting Shakespere and yelling at Harold Axelrod when they reherse for Romeo and Juliet "No Harold, that's not how I said to do it!" "If you could keep your voice from squeaking it would help!" "I'm gonna reherse with a mature Romeo!"

What others can you think of?

Have to include Marcia when Greg complains to Mike about her acting like a jerk in front of Greg's friends on her first day of high school. Marcia says, "Even my own father knew I wouldn''t be popular! I hate high school! I hate it I hate I hate it!!!!"

When Marcia gets braces she looks at herself in the mirror and says, "I'm ugly! Ugly! Ugly!" Then she starts to cry.

How about when Cindy accidently sends Marsha's diary(which has stuff in it about her crush on Desi Arnaz, Jr.) with other books to a used book store or something like that. She was all mad at Cindy and not speaking to her.

I can't think of any quotes from that one.

Don't forget Marcia's line when Jan is complaining that Marcia is trying to steal Clark Tyson: "Jan, if boys don't find you attractive, don't blame me." Meow!

When Marcia's date dumped her after she got braces, Marcia screamed, "I hate you Alan Anthony! I hate everyone!"

Boy, Marcia seems to have a disproportionate amount of these tantrums, doesn't she?

Heh. These are good.

What about the one where no one asks Cindy to the prom until the day before, and her mom warns her not to go, saying, "They're all gonna laugh at you!"

And then her classmates dumped that bucket of pig's blood on her at the dance. Oh, wait, that was Carrie.

There's also the scene in the den in the episode where Marcia and Greg are competing against each other for class president.

Marcia is looking for a piece of notebook paper that has a speech on it. Marcia blames Greg for taking it. Alice admits that she threw it away because she thought it was scrap paper. Marcia accuses her of doing it intentionally because she wants Greg to win.

I think Marcia also slams the phone reciever down when Mike gets after her about tieing up the phone earlier in the scene.

-----------------------------------------------------

Jan is rubbing a lemon on her face in the bathroom, She overhears Greg and Peter, in their room, talking about some "groovy" girl with freckles. She looks into the mirror and "This was your last chance, It's not the freckles, It's just dumb old you." she starts crying.

And then Mike says, "Young lady! Pick up that receiver and put it down properly!"
