Default ABC Family Fall 2014 Schedule

ABC Family has announced their fall 2014 schedule and original series. First up, we'll discuss the weekday daytime schedule. Effective Tuesday, Sept. 2, That '70s Show is returning to the ABC Family schedule. It will air weekdays from 7-9am, replacing three episodes of Boy Meets World and an airing of The Middle. At 9am, The Middle will remain. Following The 700 Club block from 9:30-11am, Gilmore Girls will remain at 11am but another episode will be added at 12 noon, replacing 8 Simple Rules, which will be off the line-up. The afternoon sitcom line-up will remain intact from 1pm-6pm, with The Middle from 1-2, Reba from 2-4pm and Boy Meets World from 4-6pm. A mix of movies, originals and original encores airs from 6pm-12am. From 12-2am, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will be replaced by a movie effective Monday, Sept. 8, as the contract for that show expires (it is heading exclusively to Viacom networks).

ABC Family's original series will be on hiatus in early fall, as most series had their summer finales this weeks. There will be specials coming during the 13 Nights of Halloween from Oct. 19-31. The Pretty Little Liars Halloween special will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 8pm. This will be all-new interviews with the cast. Then, the new hilariously scary, hidden-camera, funny-prank show, Freak Out will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 9 with back-to-back episodes. Two more episodes will air the following night on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 9 The half-hour series has been picked up for 14 episodes, no word on if it will continue to air in November when the 13 Nights of Halloween is over. As of now, 4 half-hour episodes are scheduled. And finally, all-new Halloween episodes of ABC Family's original sitcoms Melissa & Joey ("Witch Came First") and Baby Daddy ("Strip or Treat") will air on Wednesday, Oct. 22 starting at 8pm. Network premiere movies during the special 13 night event include Dark Shadows and ParaNorman. Stay with us for continued updates.

I wonder how long it will be before we find out if they are renewing Young & Hungry, and Mystery Girls.

I like another episode of the Gilmores. I agree with them taking off 8 Simple Rules. How many times can you burn through that series? They could get rid of Reba as well.

No. The morning episodes are being replaced by That 70s Show, but the afternoon 4-6PM block remains.

They should add "Home Improvement" to ABC Family this fall and air it from 12AM-2AM replacing "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air".

13 Nights of Halloween schedule:

Night One - Sunday, October 19th

The 16th annual 13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN launches an all-day scarefest, starting with the friendliest ghost, "Casper" (7:00 - 9:00 AM ET/PT). Then it's a double dose of the kookiest, ookiest family on the block in "The Addams Family" (9:00 - 11:00 AM ET/PT) and "Addams Family Values" (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM ET/PT). Next Harry prepares for his final epic battle with "He Who Must Not Be Named" in the two-part finale of the blockbuster series "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1" (1:00 - 4:30 PM ET/PT) and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2" (4:30 - 7:30 PM ET/PT). Buzz, Woody and all your favorite toys must work together to track down their missing friend in "Disney·Pixar's Toy Story OF TERROR!" (7:30 - 8:00 PM ET/PT; encore at 10:00 PM ET/PT). Then meet us down on the Scare Floor for "Disney·Pixar's Monsters, Inc." (8:00 - 10:00 PM ET/PT). We wrap up our night with Jack Skellington and Halloweentown in "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (10:30 PM - 12:00 AM ET/PT).

Night Two - Monday, October 20th

Christmas is the most haunting holiday of all in "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (6:30 - 8:00 PM ET/PT). Then the world will be watching "The Hunger Games" (8:00 - 11:00 PM ET/PT). Finally, stop by "The Haunted Mansion" (12:00 - 2:00 AM ET/PT) where the spirited residents are "dying" to meet you.

Night Three - Tuesday, October 21st

It's Halloween, Witches, and "A" is up to his or her usual tricks, as ABC Family presents the "Pretty Little Liars" fan-appreciation special, "We Love You to DeAth" (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT; encore at 12:00 AM ET/PT). Then stay tuned for "Freak Out" (9:00 - 10:00 PM ET/PT; encore at 1:00 AM ET/PT), the hilariously scary new hidden-camera prank special. Each special will feature an unsuspecting mark whose fears come to life before their eyes with elaborate hoaxes deviously tailored with help from the victim's friends and family.

Night Four - Wednesday, October 22nd

A night of 'sclaughing' (screaming and laughing) starts with Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, "Beetlejuice" (6:00 - 8:00 PM ET/PT), followed by an all-new Halloween episode of "Melissa & Joey" titled "Witch Came First" (8:00 - 8:30 PM ET/PT; encore at 12:00 AM ET/PT). Mel is visited by her doctor (guest star Beth Broderick), who tells Mel she's actually a witch and must help break a curse. Then it's an all-new Halloween-themed "Baby Daddy" titled "Strip or Treat" (8:30 - 9:00 PM ET/PT; encore at 12:30 AM ET/PT) where Riley decides to pull a prank on everyone after all the jokes they've played on her over the years. Finally, scare up some laughs with an all-new "Freak Out" special (9:00 - 10:00 PM ET/PT; encore at 1:00 AM ET/PT).

Fox's hairy high school hijinks in "Teen Wolf" (12:00 - 2:00 AM ET/PT).
