Starz’s Cult Comedy "Party Down" Heads to Hulu
by The Deadline Team August 27, 2014 Hulu has acquired exclusive streaming rights to the entire series of cult comedy "Party Down". Beginning Friday, all episodes will be available for streaming on Hulu Plus, Hulu and Starz said today. The first five episodes will be available for a limited time on Hulu.com. "Party Down" follows a group of Hollywood acting wannabes who pay the bills by working for a Los Angeles catering company. The comedy, created by Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) became a cult hit after debuting on Starz in 2009 with a killer ensemble cast including Lizzy Caplan, Jane Lynch, Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr and Megan Mullally. There was also word a few years ago that a feature film was being looked into, but nothing came to be. Rob Thomas' other cult series "Veronica Mars" recently had a feature film, so it's possible for "Party Down" as well; especially if another Kickstarter campaign gets launched. http://deadline.com/2014/08/starzs-c...o-hulu-825498/ |
