I like both but I like Roseanne more because it's real. The Cosby Show is fun to watch but it's not relatable, it's a fantasy world that nobody lives in.

Can you explain?

I couldn't show you one single family in real life that acts like the Huxtables. I could, however, show you several families like the Conners.

Basically, real people have real problems not sugar coated "it'll be ok in the morning" problems.

But after all the big time guest stars of "The Cosby Show" appeared and all the 'special' episodes were wrapped from "Roseanne", weren't the two shows actually really the same in the end?

Neither but Roseanne got my vote. Purely because her show was about how perfect life really isn't and how people struggled to live. The cosby show was just a show about a perfect american family who just happened to be black.

I'm the one who disagrees with "Roseanne", I prefer "The Cosby Show" because it shows a positive aspect of African-Americans.

"The Cosby Show" was going to be like "Roseanne", but Bill Cosby changed his mind at the last minute!

Actually, I disagree. I can't stand it when people compare The Cosby Show and Roseanne. They are two shows with two completely different perspectives. The Cosby Show shows the perspective from an upper middle class family and Roseanne shows the perspective from a lower middle class family. It doesn't make any show less realistic than the other.
