starts at 5pm today (Dallas time), might be a repeat but I'm not sure...
On the Dateline ID channel, an episode of "Murder in Paradise" - per TV guide, the preview says "An Ohio woman and her two daughters are killed in Tampa" - I'd have to think this relates to the Oba Chandler / Joan Rogers case |

yep, it was. This case sure does make the rounds. It was also on Cold Case Files, Forensic Files, Scene Of The Crime, Crime Stories, and On the Case With Paula Zahn (two-part episode). whew.

Yeah, that case is overexposed. Very sad but not as interesting as so many others that deserve multiple looks.
For one thing, Oba Chandler is a stump. Nothing impressive or intriguing about him at all. I agree with one of the detectives or prosecutors in one of the episodes, who said that she expected some unique qualities from a person who could pull off a con and multiple murders, but that Chandler upon first impression offered nothing of the sort, and that held up subsequently. |
