Default Slavery Issues

NOW THIS MAY JUST BE ME BUT DOES ANYONE THINK IT'S TERRIBLE ABOUT HOW THE BOYS WOUND UP WITH THE WHITE DUDE. THERE MUM WAITS IN HIM HAND AND FOOT, YET AS WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE SHOW SHE WAS POOR AND LIVED IN THE GETTO YET HE'S SOOO GENEROUS WITH HIS MONEY, SO BASICALLY SHE'S HIS SLAVE! SHE IDES LEAVING 2 PENNILESS KIDS, AND FROM WHAT I SEE IT'S HIS FAULT SHE'S DEAD. MEANING THAT THE WHOLESHOW WAS THERE DUE TO SOME RACIAL GULIT TRIP BY A PATRONISING IDIOT AND HIS ANNOYING PRINCESS

I don't see your point at all. First of all being a housekeeper isn't a slave. If you call making a living by cleaning someones house being a slave then I guess you think all janitors are slaves as well. She was just earning a living. Second of all how do you figure her death is as you call him the white dudes, fault. The white dude was nice enough to give her a job, he didn't exactly push her off the balcony. And third place taking two kids out of Harlem so they can make a life for themselves is a very noble thing to do if you ask me. If a rich black man adopted two down on there luck white boys would we even be having this discussion? I seriously doubt it. I guess he should have refused there mother a job, and refused to take in two motherless, and fatherless boys huh? Give me a break!

Do you have any idea how silly that sounds?

Really, if you think like that then you are taking Diff'rent Strokes far too seriously. It's a SITCOM for crying out loud. Just do what the rest of us do and enjoy it. If you can't, then don't watch. I'm sure even you have enough brains to be able to find the 'off' switch on your remote.

According to your statement everyody that dies is the fault of there employer. So you're saying that anyone who dies a natural death, the person they work for is to blame? I don't think so!

You do raise a bit of a point though. In the "Happy Birthday Drummond" episode Willis and Arnold talk about how hard their mum worked and how little she had to show for it which could suggest she got low wages?

Wait a minute!! So if Arnold's and Willis' mother was a "slave" to Mr. Drummond since she was her housekeeper, then that means Mrs. Garrett, Adelaide, and Pearl were his slaves too, right?!?? Hmmmmm..........that's a pretty sad excuse, if that's how you percieve the show pal. And "racial guilt"???, come on man!!! If this show bothers you soo much and feel so offended by it, why don't you try watching Barney and Friends?

Default Huh?

There is no point in that subject. That is just a little too deep.
