Default Sitcoms with forced endings. . .and no, we don't remember, so tell us

Are there sitcoms that ran for years and wrapped up their final season and last show hastily? If you know one or two, tell us the show and what happened on the last show or season that made you feel the entire thing was contrived or forced into a quick, unbalanced wrap-up.

How about we start with an obvious one...."How I Met Your Mother". I think everyone remembers how that ending was botched up so horribly. Was that the show you were thinking of?

S.O. Members. . . Could We

This thread was never about just naming a show with a forced or rushed ending. We already have way too many of those kinds of threads and references. This is about naming a show and saying in pointed terms what about how it ended was contrived, rushed or forced. For example, I have no idea whatsoever HOW the Munsters ended. Were they each hit by lighting and became normal-looking humans?(Like what happened once to Herman.) I, as well as many others have no idea how The Munsters ended as well as other shows that have been listed here up to this point.

I think the Munsters fell asleep and woke up 20 years later in an awful sequel. lol

THE MUNSTERS like other shows back then never had a finale.

May/12/1966 A Visit From The Teacher

The Munsters get a visit from Eddie's teacher and principal after he writes a report describing his family life. The concern seems to be whether Eddie is being deprived at home.
This was the last episode ending for season 2, it was a regular episode nothing special. As Treky said, other shows back then didn't have a finale with the exception being The Fugitive. The Addams Family ended the same way with a regular episode.

Technically it was a "dramadey" but the finale of "Monk" was god-awful. They only had 8 seasons to come up with a conclusion to his wife's murder and he misses the biggest clue that is literally right in front of him. Of course one cast member leaves town for a new job, and one finds a new relationship (can't recall if they marry or she left). The Monk finds a miraculous new family remember (again some detective he was after all) and goes completely out of character.

I know he is supposed to have "grown" as a character but it all happens so fast it is just a flop. Plus the killer's name he had been given was a direct link to his identity. Just a horrible ending that even ruins re-run appeal for me.

I can think of one (non-sitcom) example: The CW's 90210 series (2008-2013) had a forced ending due to extremely low ratings and viewership. It was such that one storyline (the "Silver" character having cancer) was left unresolved. 90210's cancellation was at the 11th-hour (at the end of February 2013), and I think they were at the midst of filming the end of Season 5 when the announcement came down that 90210 would not return for a 6th season. The series finale of The CW's 90210 was titled "We All Fall Down".

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

Examples of WB series that got discontinued in the wrong time:

Popular: Brooke's hit and run accident was forced ended.

Maybe It's Me: some of you blamed on Rick messing up, but it was Jerry who messed Molly's prom night completely.

Do Over: There is a story in this show and the problems were not yet solved.

I forgot to say: besides THE FUGITIVE; THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW also had one. And speaking of THE MUNSTERS: according to that GOD-AWFUL, HORRIBLE show from the 80s THE NEW MUNSTERS (or whatever it was called) they all simply went to sleep for 20 years (apparently sleeping through their reunion movie in the 70s and their big-screen movie in the 60s)
