MTV as of late has like its sister network Nick @ Nite, pretty much gone on autopilot of sorts. If you look at their regular schedule, it's literally like all that's made up is Catfish, 16 and Pregnant, Wild 'N Out, Teen Mom, and Ridicolousness. It's like MTV has absolutely zero direction or ambition these days. They're just throwing things in a blender or throwing things at the wall and seeing if it will stick.

Very true. Nick at Nite , TVLand, MTV and VH1 have all gone down the drain.

The thing closest to MTV of the 80s and 90s now is Adult Swim on Cartoon Network and E4.
