By openings,I mean when they roll the beginning credits on a show and start playing the theme music or song of the program.--There are a lot of good ones, but two of my favorites are The Original(1968-80) Hawaii 5-0. It's just brilliant, from the photography,to the music and everything else in between. The second is CHiPs,great theme music and everything else about it. --What are some of your favorites?

Another is Hart to Hart, the 1979-84 ABC detective/adventure series starring Robert Wagner, Stefanie Powers and Lionel Stander. I liked how Lionel (in V/O as Max) opened the show by describing some things about Jonathan and Jennifer, and then had that classic line, "...'cause when they met, it was murder!" ("'cause their hobby is murder!" in #1 [1979-80]). I also liked how the title was brought up by having a red heart zoom in from between the two cars. And of course, the title track is one of my favorites here too. |

I'd have to go with "Bewitched", including the different variations that were seen on the network run that aren't seen in syndication today.

I'd like to add Newhart to my previous list above. I always liked that opening sequence.
And, Laverne & Shirley's opening is just pure classic gold. |

I'm adding Barney Miller to mine too. That opening and title track have been big factors in why I have enjoyed it as much as I have from Shout!'s release of the same.
