Looks like IM the first to ask this,
Does anyone know how on earth they got things like pots and pans to move on the show? This was the 60s and technology wasn't that powerful then I don't believe. Its easy to disappear but to make house objects move like those days i don't understand what they did |

From "The Bewitched Book" by Herbie J Pilato:
"To make it look as if there were particular people or objects levitating in midair, Albain (Richard Albain, special effects expert) used an old diving board and crane that Columbia had discarded. He situated the board between the catwalks in the ceiling on the set, where there was a six-foot clearance. 'And I would secure the special wires and strings from up there.'" The book also says that while comedies of that time like The Odd Couple had a budget of about $90,000 per episode, Bewitched cost around $115,000 per ep.
