The Bank Account and Last Day of School each have a central theme regarding a wrapped package and it's effect on the first person to open it---along with a misunderstanding.

Wally Buys a Car & Beaver's Ice Skates=Horrendous salesmen. Except for Jess Kilpatrick. He's always a great guy.

I agree with Zinc2, but I would state it this way:

In both "The Bank Account" and "The Last Day of School," 2 of the Cleavers thought another in the family had bought something very inappropriate for the circumstances which came in a gift package.

And in both "Beaver's Ice Skates" and "Wally Buys a Car," one of the boys is misled by a crooked salesman and must be helped by Ward to avoid an inexcusable money loss.

I've got a new one here-- it's probably hard as it is, but if I give a clue it may be too easy... There are 2 episodes in which Wally buys a car; what is a common "measurement" [note the ""] having to do with the episodes?

I'll think about your question but I was thinking of something completely different. In both Bank Account and Last Day of School Ward comes home from the office in the middle of the day...ooh la la. In Bank Account June gives him lunch and in Last Day he is on his way out to lunch. You guys had another good answer.

That is SO true...Ward coming home early. Clever dialogue each time. And did you notice each episode had Ward eating breakfast standing up, coffee in his right hand and toast in his left?

Anything to do with car model? Like that 1936 Coupe junk in the driveway or Wally's car? Right in both episodes there is talk of the large amount of car insurance. I watched both last night and couldn't see any similarities yet. Wally almost hits people in two incidents with that car in Wally Buys a Car. That lady near the used car lot and later when they go out for dinner. Hey in both episodes June and Ward go out for dinner.

I guess it's time to kill this one. In one ep, an unseen character is referred to, and in the other, there is an actor with the same last name as the alluded character in the other. And that last name is a measurement that is not in very common use any more.

Great question and got the answer Ed Peck played the unsavory salesman in Wally Buys a Car and in Wally's Car Ward mentions Mr. Peck, a man at work, unseen character, who's son had the same idea, work on a car in his youth. That car is still sitting in his garage.

Now can you name another episode where we hear that same measurement again. Different character that we don't see either.

He was Ward's old friend, the grocer, in "Water, Anyone?" Beaver justifies his selling water to Wally and his friends, who had none with the water turned off in the area, by asking Ward why Mr. Peck doesn't give them food for free; as Ward lectured Beaver on 'taking advantage' because he knew the water would be turned off and stocked as much as he could.

Great question and fine clue tdr. Last night when I saw Ed Peck was in the cast of Wally Buys a Car, the lightbulb went on. Scarbjan and you have covered all the Peck bases.

Speaking of Water Anyone, what does it have in common with Beaver's Dance and The Dramatic Club?

Actress Katherine Warren. She played Mrs. Brown (Tooey's mother) in "Water, Anyone?" and Mrs. Prescott in the other 2.

There's still another Peck! I thought it was Mr. Cartwright who had the store in Water Anyone? Not sure though.

In Yard Birds Ward has told the boys to call Mr. Peck who will haul away the trash but to call before 1 o'clock.
