I don't think I will be buying. I own each season individually, and it looks like most of the special features in the complete series package are already on the DVDs I have, except for the Don Knotts memorial. There's not much incentive to lay out so much money for stuff that's already available.
Of course, if someone on here buys it and proves me wrong I will reconsider. But I will wait until then. |

I pre-ordered this one. It will be nice to have more to contribute in this forum after I watch the shows.

JSP, don't you have the DVDs? Or did you watch the reruns on TV?

Therefore so far I'm running on memories mostly from over 10 years ago. I saw a couple of episodes on TV Land recently. Of course I grew up watching the syndicated reruns in the 80s as a kid. When I was five I had no idea Jack was pretending to be gay! I wasn't aware of that facet of the show until the late 90s! I don't have any of the DVDs. Really looking forward to this one! |

It will be awesome! There are some cool special features, like the two unaired pilots. Those are my favorite sf.

So in about three days I should be getting every episode. Right now I'm really bored waiting in anticipation.

Well I finally got the complete series in the mail today. So far all I've watched were the two pilots, the first without Dewitt or Somers and the second without Somers. I liked the first one written by Larry Gelbart more than the second one by Nicholl Ross West. I thought the jokes were a little more clever.

I agree with you, JSP. The second unaired pilot fell kind of flat for me. I guess I am so used to seeing Chrissy that to see someone else try to play that character is weird and just....not-right seeming, lol.

Actually the way the other cast members stared in the intro was weird too. Is this supposed to be a comedy? Can't tell from the looks in their eyes in that second pilot intro. I can see why they replaced Valerie Curtin in the first pilot with Joyce in the second. Joyce had more spunk and perkiness; just what a comedy show needs. I guess Valerie Curtin has to be related to Jane Curtin somehow, right? Yep thank goodness Susan Lanier was replaced with Suzanne Somers just in time. Fred Silverman was right about the casting changes he made to this show. |

Yes, Valerie Curtin is a cousin to Jane, I think. She was okay but I thought she was too cynical and negative. Susan Lanier looked a lot like the original Chrissy on MATH, but just didn't fit. I can't see her being a dumb blonde. And I think the reason they cast her was because she was just coming off of her "Hills Have Eyes" fame, lol.

Hi JSP, just wondering what the menus look like on your complete series version....on my individual DVD sets there is a description that goes with each episode. I am curious to see if this is different or updated.

I don't own any Three's Company DVDs but I plan to get them all at some point along with the bootleg Ropers and Three's A Crowd. Are the discs in the Complete Series the same as the ones in the individual releases or different?
