Default Mom Coming to TBS

I have heard that Mom is coming to TBS starting August 25 and will air a half episode every weeknight at 7:30pm/et. They will air all first season episodes. Pretty stoked about this and good addition for TBS!

I have never heard of any syndication deal for Mom on TBS, especially considering the mediocre ratings the CBS sitcom's original airings have gotten. Usually, there are deals for "stripped" reruns of a broadcast TV show for a cable channel which usually begin after the year of the ~80th episode's airing.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

Yea where did you get your information from? There aren't enough episodes for TBS yet.

More info tomorrow on blog. It's coming to TBS, but not for syndication.

Perhaps a deal like CBS/TBS had a few seasons back? Remember when CBS aired an episode of TBS' The Bill Engvall Show? I believe it was 2008.

First Season of "Mom" Encores on TBS for 1 Month
8/4/14
by Pavan

TBS will be airing a month's worth of episodes of the first season of the current CBS sitcom "Mom".

The series stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney and follows Christy Plunkett (Anna Faris), a single mother who, after dealing with her battle with alcoholism and drug abuse, decides to restart her life in Napa, California's wine country working as a waitress and attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

It just completed its 22-episode first season last season and you can now relive 20 episodes over a course of a month on TBS.

"Mom" will air weekdays at 7:30pm for a limited time from Monday. Aug. 25 to Friday, Sept. 19. This will be of course just in time for the second season on CBS, which premieres Monday, Sept. 29.

"The Big Bang Theory" will lead-in at 7pm for a month to give "Mom" a good lead-in. Not to worry "Seinfeld" fans, the 6-8pm block will return come Sept. 22, but from Aug. 25-Sept. 19, "Seinfeld" will air 6-7pm only.

As for the rest of the TBS line-up, we will let you know soon how the Fall will shape-up. There are no big acquisitions coming, but something will be replacing "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" starting Sept. 15 in daytime, as that series heads exclusively to BET/Centric this fall.

Stay with us on that and the rest of TBS this fall!

During August-September of 2014, TBS reran most of Season 1 of Mom over the course of a month. Because of this, can anyone see TBS get the permanent syndication rights to Mom starting in 2017 now that it's been renewed for a third season? TBS is already planning to start airing reruns of 2 Broke Girls this fall (of 2015). If it's not TBS acquiring the rights, then maybe some other cable channel like FX?
