The show didn't deal with a lot of controversial issues like All in the family, Maude, and Good Times

Racism seem to be a more key thing. Sometimes i felt the show tried to shy away from other things

The two part episode where Lionel couldn't be bothered to write a term paper about homosexual themes in a book and Mr Jefferson paid for someone to write it for himself. This would of been a good time to see what the characters thought were on homosexuality. But it didn't.

Racism, interracial marriage, homosexuality, transgender issues, sex discrimination, suicide, gang violence, economic issues, poverty, unions, impotency, multiple personalities, alcoholism, gun control
