Just my opinion, of course, but "Cheers" is the far superior show in virtually every way. It's an all-time classic. But I won't put down "Family Ties." It wasn't a favorite of mine, but I can see why people liked it. Generally it appealed to younger viewers while "Cheers" was more for adults, I suppose.

--sounds just about right to me--although I do like Family Ties occasionally and I haven't watched Cheers for years. It's on my local WB station--has been for as long as I can remember but I just don't have the time--and it's on at Midnight or 12:30am which is pretty bad.

I've seen Cheers & Family Ties and Cheers is SO FUNNIER than Family Ties. I never liked Michael J. Fox after he broke up with Nancy McKeaon from FOL.

I would have to say Cheers because it is more humorous. Gotta love Woody's Stupidity! I like Family Ties, but it is like all about achieving goals and loving each other.......Thinking that was the show's point only God knows.
Cordially, Nathan Bush "The Rain Man" PLEASE RESPOND TO THE FORUM BELOW THANK YOU! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...threadid=35163 GOTTA LOVE THE RAIN MAN!
