He certainly did not know how to romance the ladies!
That woman was nice and she really liked Furley. I think she wanted to make out a little, but Furley was too much of a scared-y cat!

I don't think he was gay, I think he was painfully shy.

Mr. Roper was sort of the same way, although I think Roper was more pervy Roper loved to look, but when it came to doing anything about it he was scared off... I think Furley was afraid to even look!

This is when she got turned off, when she told him to kiss her and Furley was taking a year to do it LOL

If a grown man is in his own place and doesn't want to make out when a woman makes the 1st move then he is gay

I'm sticking to shy. Remember that episode where the woman was interested in him for his building? They seemed to be "together" for a while....and he really liked his brother's secretary, even hit on her at the party....and he scored with the undercover cop at the end of "Going to Pot." And of course his pursuit of Lana. So there is evidence of Furley being straight, just really befuddled by forward women.

Furley def belonged to the "I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member" crowd. If a woman really wanted him he was shocked into inaction! He had very low self-esteem when it came to romance.

That was just borderline gay though because if a woman is making the first move in your place as a man u r backing away it looks weird. Lol. Now I have been shy around a girl in my own place but it was shy to make the first move not running away from the girl if she is trying to kiss me. Lol

Maybe he had performance anxiety? And Furley WAS weird...I think if he was gay he would've acted exactly the same way toward men.

He probably could've benefited from some Xanax, lol. He was "high strung."

I would love for a woman to come in here and make the 1st move LOL

Make it a lot easier on me. The only thing she did weird was telling furley to kiss her

She should have just went for it and kissed him

LOL@TVFactFan dissing Mr Furley being afraid of women trying to make a move on him hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Mr Furley did act like he was scared of women and he shouldn't have been dissing Jack thinking that he was gay because at least Jack did mess around with women. Mr Furley always made me laugh. He was so funny hahahahahahahahaha. RIP Don Knotts and i miss you. He was much better than Mr Roper.

I agree Mr. Furley was definitely shy. But remember he made out with Cindy's aunt Becky behind the bushes? I wouldn't call that gay.

He also defiled the kitchen at Jack's Bistro with Larry's aunt on opening night! So he won a couple.

That's why I couldn't understand why he was acting so fruity in this episode
