Hey all! Wow, It's been a long time since I've posted here....years even! Anyway, just watching thre old epi with William Bradford Bishop and once again left perplexed. Just wondering what y'all think happened. I'm leaning towards him being long gone out of the country our I'm thinking a suicide. It's obvious he is crazy or mentally unstable. Its very possible he eventually killed himself. I dunno, what do you think?

I think he managed to flee the country and started a new life in Europe. It seemed like he had somewhat of an ego, so that's why i don't think he committed suicide. Do you believe the co worker story about running into him two years later in Europe?

I'm about 80-20 on Bishop successfully fleeing the country to live out the rest of his life in Europe to him committing suicide in the Smokies with his remains (and probably those of his dog) yet to be discovered.

I think he fled to overseas. He was very educated from what I remember about the segment. It has been years since I've seen it though. I highly doubt he killed himself.

The Hunt with John Walsh starts this sunday on CNN. I don't know when, but one of the episodes looks to be about William Bradford Bishop.

That is awesome considering John Walsh was instrumental in bringing John List to justice who also killed his whole family. He would be 77 years old if he is still in fact alive.

I am also happy to hear John Walsh will be covering this case. I really hope that just a few more broadcasts of Bishop will get him found. And as you all probably know, Walsh is very blunt when stating his opinion of a fugitive. I wouldn't mind hearing his views here.
I think Bishop could be alive. I think he ran rather than taking his own life. He would be quite elderly now, but what a great thing it would be to have him captured. It would give any remaining relatives and friends of the family comfort to know he's no longer roaming free and might pay for his crimes. |

I believe he is alive. Watched the UM episode depicting when his friend saw him in Italy. Surprised it was the same man who saw him last. From the depiction it looked like the two were close when he recognized him and if he ran the way he showed, I find it highly likely.
Also, the fact that it was so easy for him to disappear and start over. If anyone had the skills to do it, it was Bradford. I think he was alive; he may be dead now thought. |
