Default Mill Creek re-releasing seasons 1 and 2

They also are making a combo pack of both seasons. It does not sound like they can offer a season 3 with the permission of Sony, so we still wait for more seasons. The bright side, the box art is a little nicer for Season 2.

I may pick 'em up, but not really motivated since there was no final episode to properly end the show. Just like Soap.

Default Not Bad...

I have the first season on DVD, but didn't get the MOD second season. So, this is a good option.

Why is Caroline McWilliams absent from the second-season art, though?

I wonder if they'll get the episode order correct for season 2.

On mill creeks site, they have the episodes for season 2 listed in order so that's a positive sign. Also as I too am disappointed benson didn't have a proper ending, I also feel that's why it's extra important to release the alternate endings in a complete series set, hopefully Sony still has them and maybe shout or someone could get the rights?! I do like the cover art for season 2 better than the mod but also wondering why no Caroline/Marcy. I liked how we got 2 eps from season 3 on the mod, but we don't get them here on the mill creek release. Probably more proper though. One question, will the extras be on this season 1 mill creek release? I'll probably get both again since they're inexpensive.

I'd like to pick up the Mill Creek Season 2 - can you only get it from their site, or will it appear on Amazon or other sites as well?

I don't think these Mill Creek releases have any new material in terms of extras- probably just what appeared on the initial DVD releases.

I haven't seen the mill creek releases (other than their site) listed anywhere yet, not even amazon, although I wish they would. Sony season 1 set is the only one with extras, so I'm curious if the mill creek season 1 set will have them. Sony season 2 has no extras at all, except if you count the first 2 episodes of season 3 as extras haha

The reason Caroline is not in the photo on the season 2 DVD is because the photo is from season 4, I think.

Well, I'll still consider this re-release more 'proper' than Sony. So, I'll be interested in getting both seasons at such an inexpensive price!
I totally agree the cover art on these is much, much better. Finally great close-ups of the cast!
Yeah, too bad Caroline McWilliams isn't featured on the season 2 cover pic...that pic is from either season 3 or 4, you could tell the empty space near Pete was occupied by Denise ;-)

I certainly hope the rest of the seasons get released...or if at least Antenna-TV would re-air Benson again...*fingers crossed*

Please do this right Mill Creek!!

Sure, let's just re-release what's out there already. Nevermind that there are seasons 3-7 still hanging in the balance. Whatever.

Great to see you back BensonFan! Haven't seen you post in a while! It's extremely frustrating that they keep re-releasing the same seasons and no new seasons are being released (3-7)!!!!! So annoying!!!

Thanks. I spend way too much time on Facebook these days...lol....thought I'd get back to seeing what people are talking about here.

I am sure there is some explanation for this insanity, but to me they are just wasting time when they could be getting the remaining seasons released.

Agreed! I don't understand what the hold up is. There has to be very little music rights issues involved with this series, so i don't get it.

Don't be a stranger BensonFan the more we talk about the show or show more interest in it the better chance we have of maybe getting more seasons released!
