I've recently had a renewed interest in hunting down obscure shows again and noticrd this forum has died off quite a bit, and a lot of the people who used to have a lot of these hard to find shows are not around no more on these forums. I'm wondering if there are any other sites out there where tape trading has started up and are more popular and active? please respond here or in a private message to me.

This is by far the best and most active trading forum on the net. What exactly is it you're looking for?

I often trade individual episodes the problem for me is I have no desire to trade for blanks. If I want blanks I will go to the store.
This site may not be as active as it once was, but it is still the most active site I know of. Which trading sites do you frequent? Quote:

I used to trade a lot a few years back and I would never trade for blanks, that's ridiculous. I will say when I first started trading people would trade for specific episodes but later I noticed most people only wanted to trade for the whole series or nothing. Guess as they become more satisfied with their collections they get less flexible in their trading "rules".
Personally, I pretty much stopped trading a few years back because the shows I would want are shows from the '50's and '60's and they seem to be shows nobody has. Example: the Philip Marlowe series st. Phil Carey, no one seems to have it. Example 2, ALL of the colorized episodes of Peter Gunn, no one out there has this either, or they're being mum about it. Well, you get the idea, the one's I want no one has, and there's nothing worse than a new comer trader who wants to trade with you and he's got nothing you want. |

Another one that no one seems to have is Love That Bob a.k.a. Bob Cummings Show, where is the person that has the complete set of this? I only hear crickets.

Your You tube must be a different You tube than mine, no complete collection of colorized Peter Gunn, no complete collection of Philip Marlow, no complete Bob Cummings. Where is this You Tube you speak of? It's not the one we've heard of. Not even the Reunion Patty Duke show movie is there. Like I said, the stuff I want people don't have and You Tube sure as heck isn't the answer.

I just created a group on Facebook called "Rare & Obscure TV Collectors". I hope to see fans join to trade, share episodes off Youtube, etc. More and more episodes, promos, etc of rare shows are showing up on there and people need to be saving these files so they don't disappear again. it can be a real pain to track down certain series from collectors who may not even be into trading or selling anymore.
