Default Doogie Howser, M.D. vs. How I Met Your Mother

I definitely prefer Doogie Howser (one of the few medical shows I like). HIMYM is one of the most overrated shows of the last decade.

Since I never could get into HIMYM, I'll say Doogie Howser. It's too bad that it isn't syndicated much.

I'll take Doogie Howser. Never saw HIMYM. Never have and never will.

How I Met Your Mother is a Pathetic, Over-rated, Hokey, unrealistic and most of all unfunny situation comedy. Unlike you, I have seen at LEAST 20 episodes spread out over about 9 seasons; and the show only got less funny and more full of itself. Doogie Howser, on the other hand, never stopped trying to deliver the top quality goods in the forms of entertaining and well written scripts combined with thoughtful and skillful acting from a terrific ensemble cast

That's kind of harsh, maybe season 8 and 9 are not the strongest seasons they've had but it's hardly pathetic, over-rated, Hokey, unrealistic, and unfunny situation comedy. Are we talking about the same show?? There were some laugh out loud moments.

I consider myself not only a situation comedy fan, but a fair and reasonable man as well. Tell you what, pick a season of HIMYM and I will rent it, watch it and get back to you.. . . . .

Oh No

I saw HIMYM...my brother and his soon-to-be-ex-girlgfriend (long story) watched HIMYM, they said "Try it, you'll like it"...I tried it...and hated it!

The characters are bland and Barnet Stintson is the biggest ******* in sitcom TV...JR Ewing is the biggest drama ******* ever...why'd you think someone shot him?!

And I picked Doogie Howser.

For awhile, this was my Bottom-16 Shows, now it's in "Shows I Love to Hate Through The Years...which I will make real soon".

there's actually a himym ep. where nph's character barney references doogie but not in so many words. the title is the bracket season 3 ep 14. barney is typing on a computer and the muisc playing is doogie's theme. after he types he looks up smiles just how he did on doogie.
