Hey guys,
This year 2014 saw for the 1st time in years, 3 of the biggest franchise names in the history of the NBA not make the Playoffs: The Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks Together, these 3 teams have won championships a combined total of 35 times The Lakers have won 16 championship and the Celtics have won more titles than any other team in history with 17 The Lakers and Celtics have battled during the 80's with Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird and they also did battle in the 21st Century The last time the Celtics won a championship was in 2008 against the Lakers when it was Kobe Bryant vs. Kevin Garnett, it was their 1st championship in 22 years since 1986 and 2 years later, the Lakers get payback on the Celtics to win their 16th championship and it's been 4 years since both of these teams made the NBA Finals The Knicks on the other hand have won 2 championships back in the early 70's when they def. the Lakers twice in the Finals when Phil Jackson was on the team Phil Jackson on the other hand, has won 11 championships as a coach, 6 with the Bulls and 5 with the Lakers and now, he's the President of the Knicks and he's hoping to become the 2nd man in the history of the NBA to win championships as a player, a coach and as an executive, the 1st one to do so was Pat Riley The Knicks have made the Finals twice in the 90's with Patrick Ewing on the team, however, Ewing has never won a championship In 1994, they played 7 games against the Houston Rockets lead by "The Dream" Hakeem Olajuwan and the last time this team reached the finals was back 15 years ago in 1999 when they lost to the San Antonio Spurs lead by the duo of David Robinson and Tim Duncan Ewing was injured during the Finals after the 1st 2 games, but even w/o Ewing, the Spurs were too much for the Knicks to handle and so, I ask you all this: What's Next for the Lakers, the Celtics and Knicks and how should they improve? That's the Question! Please share your thoughts on all of this ![]() ![]()

It may be probable that either LeBron or Bosch will go to one of these teams.
I hear that LeBron may get to wear a Mavericks Uniform. Looks like he's a player that's just fairweather! |

Well I think the Lakers are gonna be bad for awhile after Kobe leaves. Even if Kobe comes back next season, they're gonna be bad. I saw they drafted Julius Randle from Kentucky last night. They haven't hired a coach yet and I saw that they were gonna interview Byron Scott who used to play with them when Magic Johnson was there. Byron has had some success since he's been coaching. He got the New Jersey Nets to the finals twice even though they lost twice. Kobe should retire right now because I know he isn't gonna be happy with the team they have next season and he's gonna have to carry the scoring load and that's gonna be too much for him since he's gotten older. Celtics are also in the same situation meaning they're gonna be bad for awhile. I see they drafted Marcus Smart last night from Oklahoma State. He was pretty good in college. They also drafted a guy from Kentucky. I wonder if Rajon Rondo is gonna stay because I know he doesn't wanna play on a bad team. Gerald Wallace I don't think may not be there long either because he also probably doesn't wanna be on a bad team. He's played on playoff teams before and I don't understand why he's been traded so much because he's pretty good.
If Carmelo Anthony stays with the Knicks, the Knicks could make the playoffs next season since the east has a lot of bad teams. I see they traded Tyson Chandler back to Dallas and Raymond Felton also went to Dallas. I don't like that trade because I heard they got Jose Calderon and Samuel Dalembert in return. If Carmelo leaves, the Knicks will probably be very bad and won't make the playoffs. I don't know why Carmelo is unhappy because the Knicks went to the playoffs a couple of years ago and they won 50 something games. I also don't know why Mike Woodson was fired because he's a decent coach. Phil Jackson should've hired Mark Jackson to coach them because the Knicks fans would've loved that since he played for the Knicks and he's from New York. Mark had some success with Golden State when he coached them. So them getting Derek Fisher to coach them was a bad move and I've seen some of the Knicks fans comments on Youtube about Derek and they aren't happy with him being the coach. I agree with the comments they were saying. |
