Then Archie says......"who do you think? LaVENE and Shirley? LMAO

He called her LAVENE instead of LAVERNE

It was always funny when Archie would mispronounce peoples names. My favorite probably was from an Archie Bunker's Place episode. A drunk, unattractive woman approached him and said "hey, you know me!" Archie got a really annoyed look on his face and then he said "of course I know you, you're B.O. Derek!"

Archie's malaprops could be very humorous, but was even funnier in those years when (former) BYU head football coach LaVell Edwards was mentioned on TV, and the idiot announcer called him "Laverne...!"

this isn't about him mis-prounoncing a word or name, but in one episode Mike tells him something about his will or something and Archie says he'll take him to court, and Mike says "On what grounds?" and Archie says "On the courthouse grounds."

It was in the one where Mike & Gloria decide not to make Archie and Edith guardians for Joey in case they should die. ME TV just showed it.

I mean ANTENNA TV.
