Ricky at Club Babaloo when they lived in Westport

Some of the Westport episodes show Ricky leaving for work in the morning and returning home at dinner time - not his usual coming home at 3 am after his show.

Did they change what Ricky was doing (television shows etc). What happened to the nightclub act?

He was often home for dinner when they lived in NYC. My guess is his nightclub shows were performed only on certain nights (like Fridays or Saturdays), and during the rest of the week the band rehearsed during the day, and had evenings with their families.

Funny thing was they showed the revamped Club Babalu in only one "I Love Lucy" episode and not at all in the hour-long shows. Funnier still is, in the Paul Douglas episode, Lucy and Ricky had to meet in Grand Central station to catch up on each other's lives...not unlike the real Arnazes who had to stop at the side of the road between his shows and her movie schedule!
