There is some canned laughter where we hear a man say Uh-oh when something bad is going to happen....which I've heard on other sitcoms like I Love Lucy. We hear it too in Beaver. Can you name two times when we hear this same laughter with the guy saying uh-oh on the laugh tracks.

I don't recall hearing that which is strange since I have viewed LITB all the way back to when it was on network TV. I once heard that laughtracks for the sitcoms of the 1950's & 1960's was recorded from the live audience at Milton Berle's "Texaco Star Theatre" TV show.

Someone posted that the LITB producers didn't want any canned laughter so they recorded their own small audience watching the episode and that is what you heard. However in at least two episodes I hear that famous "woman" saying uh oh. One is right before something falls and another is something has come back to roost.

Rather than just mixed soft laughter, there is an 'uh-oh' in Beaver's Accordion when Ward suggests June look in the upstairs closet for the extension cord.
Believe the other example may be in Beaver's Poster. Wally comes home and tells June Lumpy got sick at school and he had to walk him home. Then again, it's not a real 'uh-oh' but more of an 'ohhhhh.' |

That's the episode when Ward tells her about the extension cord. I have to listen to that scene in Beaver's Poster. The other time we hear uh-oh is in an episode in season 5 and at night when Beaver's in bed.

Thanks for handing it to me on a silver platter. Beaver's Cat Problem, the first time Bootsie returns in the night...the meows...then the clear 'uh-oh'.
Now that you have called attention to these, they really stand out. |

I knew you would like that hint...when I heard that I thought "hey there's the uh-oh lady."
