Warner Bros. Is In Early Stages of Rebooting "Scooby-Doo"
Warner Bros Ready To Reboot "Scooby-Doo"
by MIKE FLEMING JR June 17, 2014 The gestation period for reboots seems to be getting short. Warner Bros in the early stages of launching a new "Scooby-Doo". The studio made a Raja Gosnell-directed live-action comedy out of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that starred Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Isla Fisher as the young sleuths. The film grossed $268 million worldwide, and Warner Bros and Gosnell made a sequel two years later. Now the studio is starting from scratch, setting Randall Green to craft a new adventure. There are no other attachments at the moment. http://www.deadline.com/2014/06/warn...ot-scooby-doo/ |

Yeah, I heard about the Scooby-Doo movie coming. I hope it will be much better than the earlier 2 theatrical movies. (Of those two, I like the second one somewhat only for the appearance of classic villians from the earlier cartoon series. But there are a lot of other things about the movie that I don't like.)
The two TV-movies are actually quite good- I like those WAY better than the theatrical movies. Hopefully, the new movie will be more in their vein than in the theatrical movies' vein. Anyway, I guess if I don't like the movie, I can always just check out the new Scooby-Doo cartoon series coming from Cartoon Network in the fall. http://www.toonzone.net/2014/03/cart...pfront-season/ |

Just to clarify, there is both a new cartoon series called "Be Cool Scooby-Doo" coming as well as a new Scooby-Doo movie. (Read more on the cartoon series here- http://www.scoobyaddicts.com/News.as...ex=1&NumRows=5)
