NBA News: Chris Bosh Ponders on Big Three Future, Admits the Season Was a Grind

It was fun while it lasted, it may be time to look ahead.

Chris Bosh was standing near the bus ramp and awaiting teammates and the coaching staff to depart to the airport and on to the offseason. For two consecutive years they went into an offseason that was preceded by a big parade. This year, it will be a million questions, thousands of scenarios and a lot of what-ifs.

The Miami Heat's two-year reign as NBA Champions is over. They were dominated in five games by the veteran-laden San Antonio Spurs, who avenged a Game 6 collapse during the 2013 NBA Finals. The defeat so decided that the Spurs poured lopsided victories in the last three games.

The image of Bosh waiting and looking on is most telling but he sounds off that he almost felt relieved the season is over.

"I don't think anybody really enjoyed this season like in years past," Bosh told The Associated Press. "There was no, like, genuine joy all the time. It seemed like work. It was a job the whole year. Winning was just a relief. Losing was a cloud over us sometimes, and then we'd break out of it -- and then go right back. But we got here. We had a chance. They were just better."

ESPN.com reports that while the disappointment is clear in his words, he still wants the team to stay intact, particularly the Big Three. With personal and financial choices looming on the horizon, the Center-Forward is staying positive on their chances to stay together and compete some more in the upcoming season.

"We want to stay together, man," Bosh said. "I'll say that. It's a great organization, great team and great city. And to have a chance, that's all you can ask for."

On the other hand, the Miami Heat's MVP and main engine has been mum on his plans this summer. LeBron James can opt out of the final year of his contract and again become a free agent if he decides to bring his talent elsewhere. Dwayne Wade, whose skills have clearly been diminished in the past seasons, has often insisted of his desire for the team to remain with the Heat. All that can change if all three decide to forego their player options an become free agents, which may just be to the Heat organization's liking.

If the Big Three use their opt out, Pat Riley and his think tanks may find a way to entice yet again the Big Three to sign smaller deals that can create flexibility and add other bankable and reliable players, say Carmelo Anthony.

"The whole league continues to get better every single year," James said. "Obviously we would need to get better from every facet, every position. It's just how the league works."

While James poured his everything in Game Five registering numbers of 31 points and 10 rebounds, skeptics are fueling fire that it may be his last game wearing the heat jersey.

"I will deal with my summer when I get to that point," James said. "Me and my team will sit down and deal with it. I love Miami. My family loves it. But obviously right now that's not even what I'm thinking about. You guys are trying to find answers. I'm not going to give you one."

While the media is continuously guessing on the fate of the Big Three, the San Antonio Spurs think otherwise, and believe the trio will stick together.

"They're a class act, and they'll be back next year for sure," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "I don't think anybody would really doubt that."

Bosh can only hope that the observation of coach Pop holds true.

"I see why people were saying three-peating is hard. I get it now," Bosh said. "I get it. There's just so many other things you have to fight. The human psyche, the human condition. We're all human. And it was a long, tough season."

Chris Bosh needs to go and so does Dwayne Wade. Erik Spoelstra also needs to be fired. I hope Lebron stays. I keep hearing about him possibly going back to Cleveland but i think he may do that at the end of his career.

You don't have to worry about Lebron playing well if he goes back to Cleveland because I know he will always play good. I know the Cleveland fans may hate him but I know they'll be happy if he came back and they'll forgive him hahahahahahahahahahahaha. MrCleveland, did you see who the Cavs hired as their coach? David Blatt is their new coach and he has no NBA head coaching experience LOL. I can't believe they fired Mike Brown for this guy. You were right that they should've considered hiring Mark Price to coach them.

Lebron James wants the Heat to get better players or he might head to another team. He already has two other superstars on the team though. Does he need 11 other superstars besides himself? It's pathetic. I hope the media doesn't keep talking about it 24/7 about where this drama queen might go.

They were stars when they were young but since they've gotten older, they aren't good anymore. Lebron does need to stay in Miami. I'm getting sick of the new generation of NBA stars leaving their teams to go to another team. Carmelo Anthony might leave the Knicks but I hope he stays. His teammates aren't that bad because a couple of years ago, they won 50 something games. They had a bad season this year but sometimes that happens. Teams aren't gonna have a good season all the time. I was mad James Harden left Oklahoma because he should've stayed. He went to Houston because he wants to be the main star and he doesn't wanna share the spotlight with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Since he's been with Houston, Houston can't get outta the first round of the playoffs. I'm wondering how long he's gonna be with Houston.

Houston has a solid team, and it turned out well for Harden that he want there. That's one of the main teams that Carmelo is looking to possibly go to and they are also trying to get Lebron James. I think they will be a definite contender in the near future. If the Rockets were in the east, they would be like a number 2 seed. Carmelo and Lebron might both possibly go to the Lakers though, lol

If Lebron leaves Miami, f*ck him. I'll no longer be a fan of his. How can he not be happy playing for a city like Miami that has nice weather and no snow and hot women walking on the beach half naked in bikinis? What more can a man ask for? I know Miami also has nice restaurants and malls. I've never been to Miami but if I was a NBA player and I played for Miami, I would never leave Miami. Only way I would leave Miami is if they got rid of me LOL. Plus one of my favorite tv shows Miami Vice was filmed in Miami. I know Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas loved filming the show in Miami. I also liked the cute black woman Olivia Brown that was on Miami Vice who worked with Don and Philip. She was also Eddie Murphy's girlfriend in 48 Hrs movie. Same thing goes for Carmelo Anthony. If he leaves the Knicks, I won't be a fan of his anymore. I'm sick of these new generation of NBA stars going from team to team. Like MrCleveland said, these guys are team hoppers LOL. They're afraid to stay with one or two teams like former NBA stars did like Isiah Thomas, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Julius(Dr J)Erving, Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance, Reggie Miller, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Dirk Nowitzki, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler.

I went to DC two years ago and it was more of a trip than a Missionary Tour...and I wanna go back to DC again! (There was a wild storm that cancelled a carnival there...that was a let-down...more than being a Mets Fan....

...I know, but being a Cleveland Fan is a bigger let-down)! I enjoyed the trip, except the church that I stayed at was full of water roaches...I even aborted an egg sac with a traveling book!

If I have more dough and have a better summer...I may visit DC again! And that's the problem with cities like Cleveland...you can spend the weekend there and you saw it all, but with cities like New York, Los Angles, Chicago, or Washington...you can stay the week and STILL not see everything!

Did ya'll see Miami signed Chris Bosh for 5 years and $118 million? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. He isn't worth that much money and Stephen Smith said he thinks Miami is stupid for signing him for that much money. Dwayne Wade resigned with Miami for 2 years and $62 million. I was surprised they resigned Dwayne because he needs to retire. He isn't good anymore. Miami will be lucky if they make the playoffs next season but then again they probably will make it because there's lots of bad teams in the east. I see they got Danny Granger from the Clippers and they're trying to get Luol Deng from Cleveland. I'm surprised Luol would wanna leave Cleveland since Lebron came back.
