After the show ended, what became of the pig? Was it allowed to retire, or did it go to slaughter? How old can a pig be?

If you were an actor on that show and had breakfast and someone told you that the sausage you ate was that pig, would you be offended?

I read somewhere that after season 1, a new piglet played Arnold each of the remaining 5 seasons.These piglets were smaller than the original Arnold who in season one appeared to be an adult pig.The reason for a new piglet each season is that for whatever reason they wanted a small pig and the piglets grow pretty big be the end of each season.I believe 1 person trained all these piglets.I'm not sure whatever happened to the original Arnold.

pigs grow to a height of I think; 3 feet.

Arnold and the other animals on the show were trained by Frank Inn who also trained Ellys "critters" and Duke on THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES and the dog on PETTICOAT JUNCTION.

Arnold The Pig (1964-1972)

The original Arnold is buried with his owner and trainer, Frank Inn.
