I'm sure many of you are fans of digital subchannels such as MeTV and AntennaTV (as I am) that run classic TV shows. Here's is a schedule I wrote for a similar subchannel if I were for real and I ran it:
Monday-Friday: 6:00am Square Pegs (Monday) Angie (Tuesday) On Our Own (a short-lived 1977-78 sitcom, Wednesday) Flo (a spin off of Alice, Thursday) Bad News Bears (Friday) 6:30am Super Friends 7:00am Flintstones 7:30am Garfield & Friends 8:00am Captain Kangaroo (E/I) It has been reported that the majority of episodes have been wiped, or destroyed (especially the early B&W episodes), but I do know that MANY episodes aired on PBS during the mid-to-late 1980's; though nearly all of the PBS airings were from the mid-70's onward. 9:00am Brady Bunch 9:30am Leave It to Beaver 10:00am I Love Lucy 10:30am Beverly Hillbilies 11:00am The Waltons 12:00noon Happy Days 12:30pm Laverne & Shirley 1:00pm Rhoda 1:30pm Diff'rent Strokes 2:00pm Silver Spoons 2:30pm Saved By the Bell 3:00pm Full House 3:30pm Step By Step 4:00pm 7th Heaven 5:00pm Dick Van Dyke Show 5:30pm Andy Griffith Show 6:00pm M*A*S*H 6:30pm Alice 7:00pm Golden Girls 7:30pm Home Improvement 8:00pm Cosby Show 8:30pm Who's the Boss? 9:00pm Mary Tyler Moore Show 9:30pm Bob Newhart Show 10:00pm Carol Burnett Show (UNCUT hour-long episodes!) 11:00pm Cheers 11:30pm Newhart Love at Midnight (classic soaps) 12:00 midnight Dallas (the classic 1978-91 run) 1:00am Ryan's Hope 1:30am Ryan's Hope Fun & Games Overnight: 2:00am Match Game (CBS Daytime) 2:30am Family Feud (ABC Daytime) 3:00am The Price is Right (CBS Daytime, September 1975, November 1975-present) 4:00am Wheel of Fortune (Syndicated Nightime run) 4:30am Jeopardy! (ditto) 5:00am Tic Tac Dough (1978-86 run) 5:30am $25,000 Pyramid (CBS Daytime) Saturday: 6:00am H.R. Pufnstuf (a classic Sid & Marty Krofft show) 6:30am Sigmund & the Sea Monsters (ditto) 7:00am Pac-Man (1982-84 cartoon) 7:30am Speed Buggy 8:00am New Adventures of Mighty Mouse/Heckle & Jeckle (1979-82 cartoon) Sunday: 6:00am Land of the Lost (another Krofft show, this time the classic 1974-77 run and not the 1991-92 remake) 6:30am New Adventures of Batman (1977-80 run, yes with Bat-Mite!) 7:00am Richie Rich (1980-83 cartoon) 7:30am Secrets of Isis (live action Filmation series that ran from 1975-78) 8:00am New Scooby Doo Movies Saturday & Sunday: 9:00am All-New Popeye Show (1978-83 cartoon) 9:30am Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show (The will open with the famous This is It opening number and the occasional bumpers between cartoons with Bugs & friends, but will have the original opening titles on the cartoons with the zooming WB in the rings instead of the abbreviated one page titles used in the Saturday Morning run! This show will run for 90 minutes.) 11:00am Charlie Brown & Snoopy Show (This will include the cartoon from the 1983-86 Saturday Morning run & numerous Prime-Time TV specials from over the years! The Holiday-themed cartoon specials, however, will not be included in this run.) 11:30am Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids 12:00noon Best of American Bandstand 1:00pm Best of American Bandstand 2:00pm Sports Classics (4 full hours of classic sports events from over the years!) 6:00pm Wonderful World of Disney 7:00pm Wonderful World of Disney 8:00pm Wonderful World of Disney 9:00pm Love Boat 10:00pm Love Boat 11:00pm Love Boat (Saturday) Crazy Like a Fox (Sunday) 12:00midnight Fantasy Island 1:00am Fantasy Island 2:00am Match Game PM 2:30am The Price is Right (CBS Daytime, 1972-75) 3:00am Wheel of Fortune (NBC Daytime) 3:30am Wheel of Fortune (NBC Daytime) 4:00am Card Sharks (NBC Daytime) 4:30am Card Sharks (NBC Daytime) 5:00am $20,000 Pyramid (ABC Daytime) 5:30am $20,000 Pyramid (ABC Daytime) If anyone has any questions or comments, please post.

Are you sure you didn't mean the 6 am-9 am block? That group is a real train wreck! If nothing else, it makes for a great hangover remedy. 6:00am Square Pegs (Monday) Angie (Tuesday) On Our Own (a short-lived 1977-78 sitcom, Wednesday) Flo (a spin off of Alice, Thursday) Bad News Bears (Friday) 6:30am Super Friends 7:00am Flintstones 7:30am Garfield & Friends 8:00am Captain Kangaroo On the other hand, the 9-11 group looks pretty solid to me. I see no problem with it at all. 9:00am Brady Bunch 9:30am Leave It to Beaver 10:00am I Love Lucy 10:30am Beverly Hillbillies I think you need to re-check the list again just to make sure. It seemed fairly clear to me. |

I'd like to see MeTV or Antenna TV do a serious kids/cartoon block even if just on Saturday. I feel like MeTV want to do something but just stop short for whatever reason.

All your suggestions are very good and I like it a lot. I have to post my mock schedules that have. I've done them for years and have been revising and whatnot.

I think the schedule is pretty good. I'm good with the 6am-9am block and with the 9am - 11:30am block. The morning block looks like it has the shortived stuff and time frame is not pivotal or a hot time so it works perfect, IMO. Nice job.
