The Tennessee ATV murders. Totally cold-blooded and senseless, and the way the guy just stood there calmly and fired shot after shot at these helpless people makes it even scarier.

I bit OT but I thought when I first saw the segment about the lady that was hit by the speeding boat was just scary. I can't imagine what the pain was like for her day after day. Going through all that surgery. It is shame that the person who did that was never caught.

Ethel Kidd - I find it utterly disturbing how he tied up her body to the tree.

Delaware Hitch-hiker - How he got to this man's house to murder his mother is the biggest Unsolved Mystery.

Scott Johnson and his friend - The scene showing the two boys being put in the shack and also Scott's picture and the eerie music behind it.

Last but not least -

Beverly Ann McGowen - the way her body was dismantled (decapitated, hands cut off, spleen cut out) it was very brutal, and that composite of "Sam" still gives me the willies.

Any crime with parents murdering their children/ family members really gets to me. Brad Bishop, Robert Fisher, Edward Zakrewski, Ora Prince, and Joe Weldon Smith are just a few guilty of such terrible crimes.

Boston Rapist is one of the most upsetting segments to watch. No one should have to fear being attacked at their own workplace.

Elizabeth Campbell's abduction will always remain one of the creepiest to me. We have zero answers and all the evidence remaining from that night is her purse.

To add to the above mention of workplaces, any murder or abduction from these locations. I would assume most of us viewers are employed and we can all relate to the victim in that way, that we hold a job and have a work routine. It's terrifying to think about someone, stranger or otherwise, coming in and causing you harm/kidnapping you at a place where you should feel secure. Cases of note include Tracy Kirkpatrick, Deborah Poe, Dale Kerstetter, and Epes Bandits.

The ones that have scared me the most over the years:

-the Connecticut River Valley Killer (most of all the attack on Jane Boroski)

-Kevin Ives and Don Henry

-the ATV murders

-the I-70 Killer

-Bobbi Oberholtzer and Annette Kay Schnee

-Kurt Sova

-Elizabeth Campbell

-Judy Hyams

-"Debbie"

-Doreen Picard and Susan Laferte

-Special Alert: Shannon Smith

-Kathy Bonderson

-Mary Ann Perez

-Philip Fraser

I may be in the minority but I think The Circleville Letters episode is creepy as all get out!

Keith Warren.

-The Tom Young/Keith Reinhard story, for me, was hands down the creepiest disappearance case UM ever spotlighted. That was first shown in the Winter of 1990, during UM's "heyday," so to speak, and beyond it being a creepy story to begin with, it was done very well.

-The Phillip Innes Frazier murder case in Canada was the creepiest murder case the show ever aired. What's even more unsettling is that the cretin who committed it has never been found!

I always liked that segment, but yes, it was creepy.

I remember a post many years ago about how someone (Corky Knievel, I think) was so terrified after watching the Harold and Thelma Swain segment the first time they sat on their couch afraid to move for a while.

Don't forget that "special update" in which the show gave 30-second profiles of missing or murdered victims, the most infamous of which was the gruesome murder of David Tyll and Brian Ognjan in Mio, Michigan.

Blair Adams case scared me..wth?!
Circleville letters...I know, but scared me.
The young couple who went on a trip and the guy(s) killed them and sent the parents letters.
The old man on the security camera with the guy with the mask...I just know his body was wheeled out...yeesh.
The guy who was "lowered into the hot chemical"....sorry I forget names, but that image of him being lowered...scary! So scary that it happened!
And my all time "I need my mommy"...The EAR! :O

Jay Cook and Tanya Van Cuylenborg. The case was creepy enough but I think they caught the guy sending the letters and Christmas cards, except he wasn't actually the killer, just a disturbed individual. Actually made it more creepy for me.

Dale Kerstetter. I didn't really find this one creepy, but I would absolutely love to know what happened.

Dave Bocks... I think this is one of the worst cases...AND one of the best segments UM put together. The shots of the furnace, and the shot of the supposed argument with a supervisor in the truck really made the episode compelling & creepy. Even the pictures of Dave that they used were pretty creepy.

I will also submit the The Allagash Abductions segment as being super creepy.
